heck we can go 13-0 this year. Yeah new receiving core and QB. Say they step up. travis thomas at RB. EA sports apparently thinks hes god, he cant be stopped in my game. A game hasnt even played yet, so if you havent seen a game or a practice, i dont think we should be making predictions. That being said predictions are fun to make.
Beating UT in a bowl is hardly an acomplishment. They never show up in lesser bowls. In the last 10 years they have gotten beat by Clemson, Maryland, and Penn St. All in games they were heavy favorites.
I think we have as much if not more talent then Penn St. So then it comes down to coaching and I will take Charlie and Co over Joe Pa any day of the week.
Just remember two years ago when there were no expectations, we stated off with Pitt, Michigan who were ranked and won both. I like this underdog role but have a feeling it will be the last time for a while we will get to be in it.

i think we could possibly do the 9 win season but chances are we are going to catch some unlucky breaks and have a poor performance during BC or even at UCLA

I think with 8 wins we'll be preseason top 10. Everybody knows out there that we are lacking quality seniors this year like we did last year (not saying they arent good), but i think next year preseason polls top 10, then for 2009 we'll be lights out, stacked at every position, and number 1.

7 wins and a bowl victory will be a great year period. I already know whats going to happen in the first ND loss. There will be 500 people on here saying how CB can't run a defense and second guessing CW, book it. That type of stuff just drives me crazy so lets stop talking about 10 win seasons cause it ain't going to happen. This should be a fun year to watch with alot of new young talent taking the field, so lets give them a chance before we start talking Sugar Bowl or any other major bowl for that fact.
If we look terrible against GT and our O and D stink then there will be a problem. The D will take longer to install than the O b/c most of the players have been in the system for a few years. I am confidant in CB and if the D takes a few weeks to click it is fine. Now if we get beat by Navy, Stanford, or Duke I might jump off a bridge.
