Yeah, I guess, but there are shades of gray. I know that last season, much though I wanted USC to lose to anyone, I also wanted us to beat them when they were #1. Then it would be that much more awesome.

So, when they had a semi-close game with Fresno State (?), I was sort of pulling for them.

I've never understood the philosophy of rooting for your opponents to lose. "I'm for OSU and whoever's playing Michigan."

I'd prefer all ND's opponents were unbeaten except for a loss to ND on a last second FG, made or blocked. Exciting games down to the wire.

What glory is there in beating a bunch of 0-11 teams?

How much sweeter to have all winter to remind them, "Congratulations on finishing in the Top 5. 11-1, Great Season! No doubt you would have been National Champs if only you had made that FG. What a damn shame. Enjoy your conference championship."

i agree bgi it kind of reflects on you if your the only one that beats a certain team be it a major rival or a number 1
