Pretty drastic how much better the running game was here late with C'Bo compared to Jafar

Yep the positives are Skow, Avery and Mayer.
Those 3 and Kyren should get the majority of targets.

So Book has 300+ and 3 TDs passing and 40 running. Running backs get less than 80 yards. Yet Book looked pretty awful at times. Talk about strange

I've said since before the season started, Jafar needs to be limited to being a satellite guy.

Book looked better today but still has some head scratcher throws and decisions.
This was the hardest game for the o line. Not sure how they grade but I bet there’s some good teaching moments.
Defense is amazing- players and staff

16 for 30 and I didn’t notice many drops. He missed a lot of layups

Agreed - I don't think the Irish have another option. One thing about Jafar outside of his running game, get him in open field and he's good. He may not be deadly but, he's very capable of being a threat in the slot or like you said - satellite position.

I have a feeling he'll be fighting Tyree for that roll though with Williams taking the load of runs. We need Tyree in space too. And like today, vs teams like Clemson, I don't know if Tyree can be effect between the Ts consistently (at least this year).

Well the D was great. Bauer should be a starter.
On O surely Mayer is now going to be getting minimum 5 catches a game. He is great after the catch. I hope it doesn't get like Kmet last year where he would get 6 one game then zero the next.

Agree to disagree on this one... the break between the WF postponement hurt the OL in fluidity... today there was more efficiency on the O'Line.... albeit the Pitt D-Line is top 5, I still see some improvement and T will start getting better lanes and looks... The Irish still have two solid games before the 'big game' to get prepared.

It still felt like Kyren makes important yards.
I never got a feeling like against Georgia in 17 that the RB was never going to be able to move the chain.

Against the No#1 rushing defense in the NCAA.



oh, and the Irish had the most rushing yards so far against Pitt which was only allowing 61.5 per game... the Irish had 115 and lost about 10-15 the last two plays of the game.


I'll take it. It's not much over the average but, the 2nd/3rd and 2 and 3 yards, the Irish got the first downs.
