I'm not saying it is snowing in hell yet... but we got a little drive going.
You just have to face the facts Neutered. My Ducks have the right Kelly. ND doesnt.lol
I'll just call it like I see it.....right now at this point, ND is a mediocre program regardless of whose coaching. The defense needs more playmakers like Mant'i and Dayne needs another yr. Navy showing us how it's done right now. Embarrassing. I'll still pull for my Irish, but they're nowhere close to Top 20 level right now
That veer excuse was also a load of BS. Navy's been running look all year.
Not sure why Kelly punts there.
do you not realize this is an ND message board?
go find some ****ty duck board
He's just messing around and showing the frustration we all feel Boss. This is pathetic.
35-17
19 Point lead for Navy....
3 scores down.
The veer is actually a totally seperate play than what Notre Dame was expecting. They were expecting midline option, not veer option. Now granted Notre Dame never made a freaking stop anyway he was correct. The difference is all about the blocking scheme being different. Still no excuse as to why our defense looked like junior high
Or he's just continuing to be the attention whore he's been since he's been here.
I wanna be a Red Lobster Scholar Athlete. Those cheddar biscuits are the shizzle.
The midline option is a tight option. The fullback is running between the center and guard. The veer is run right up the guard's butt. SO while they do look the same to us viewers, it is different. Again I agree, out D looked horrible. No fire or intensity. But I do understand what Kelly was saying when they weren't expecting veer.
Problem is, this is Navy, they are smart coaches and players. They know what defenses are expecting, and change it just enough to mess them up. We of course helped them out a lot.
i am worried about the fallout for this loss...hope our recruits dont fade
Hey I am not trying to BS anyone. I know that the true veer started with split backs I also know that it did start with it being a wider option. But it has eveolved some, and my high school did run an inside veer with I formation. It was based off the read on the dtackle(d-end in 3-4) for the give. While the hole was the 4 or 3 hole (between tackle and guard) the give itself was tight off the guard's butt. It seemed to me that Navy ran that instead of a traditional midline between guard and tackle.
PS. New to this how do I PM here?
