As a neutral observer, what do Jets fans hope for with the team this year? We Bears fans could see the end with the Fox, Nagy, and Flus eras coming a year out. Do y'all feel the same about Aaron Glenn?
Honestly, no. I only speak for myself, but the real hope is with Mougey.
Woody Johnson doesn't have a traditional chain of command where the head coach reports to the GM. I believe Glenn was hired before Mougey and they each report directly to Johnson. Glenn has shown himself to be in over his head as a coach and had already been nuetrered. He's now being forced to call the defense and Johnson hired Frank Reich to run the offense. Reich might be the head coach by midseason.
Mougey has shined as GM and turned over the roster with some real talent.
Unless Geno balls out, I'm expecting 3-5 wins and a top five pick (three firsts in total). The roster is pretty good and ready to support a rookie quarterback. If their own pick isn't high enough, they should have enough ammo to get someone they want with the crop coming out next year. Hopefully that's enticing enough to lure a real head coach.
