Probably time to sit Hartman for a series or two to watch from the sidelines

We are without our best tight end. We have absolutely no wide receivers. A very overrated offensive line and offensive line. That’s a bad combination

I mean hire a real OC and that isn't true.

The WRs are bad, too, but Hartman isn't very good. Mediocre is good given our QBs the past few decades.
That’s just a symptom of the disease, which is ND isn’t fully in on their football program. There’s always a “we just need an OC”. Oh well. Time for a comeback.

Our road presence is horrible this year. Didn’t see a blowout coming, but had a feeling this game would look more like the Louisville game than any other. Can’t keep a team with Clemson’s level of talent down. As much as I wanted a NY6 for this team it will now go down as another disappointing season with more talent perceived than realized.

Sadly I have less confidence in the anticipated talent on the field next year (based on current roster).

This all comes down to our Offensive Coordinator and Marcus Freeman

So here's the thing, if you think paying recruits is icky but it's okay to drop bags for grad transfers then you need to go all in. I think it's hypocritical to be fine with one but not the other, but so be it. If you're going to drop a bigger bag than Auburn and Florida for Hartman then clearly money isn't an issue. But you can't stop at just a QB. You need to go all in. You need to be the A&M/Oregon/SEC when it comes to grad transfers. You need to get the best (or one of the best) grad transfers at every single position of need, every single year.

If Cross leaves and DeWayne Carter or Davin Vann hit the portal, you need to buy them. If Michael Pratt hits the portal, you need to buy him. I like the potential of Aamil Wagner, but if Graham Barton from Duke hits the portal, you need to buy him. If Jasheen Davis from WF hits the portal, you need to buy him. If 1-2 WR's who are legit #1 or #2 hit the portal, you need to buy them. If you want experience at LB and a solid grad transfer LB hits the portal, you need to buy him. Even if Watts comes back, the other Safety spot is a question mark. If a guy with an NFL future like LaMiles Brooks from GT hits the portal, you need to buy him.

But let’s get another portal QB and fall short of the NY6 next year again

our wide receivers cannot get open. So we run long developing run plays…

I tried to tell you all that Hartman is the primary problem with offense.
