Leaving either double points on the field or giving up 1-2 TDs in the last 5-10 minutes can be the difference. Miami is throwing bombs with 45 seconds left to run up the score to 37-7 and we are giving up garbage points with the third stringers in Pitt and this game. Truly hope if making the playoffs comes down to us vs 1-2 teams they look at things like was a game ever competitive? This game never was and against Miami it was 7-7 at half etc.
The A&M and Miami games are nothing like we look today. Carr and Denbrock have evolved and despite losing lineman our Oline is pushing people around. Having Schuler and Adams in the field now alone make us a more complete team.
We have won 10 games in a row all by double digit points while holding most team under 20. USC, Navy, Boise, NC State, a Stanford team that just destroyed Cal 31-10 and was 4-1 at home.
Who has looked better without a drop off week to week for 10 weeks in a row? Only Ohio State against a weaker schedule than ours.
With all that said we’ve played some soft 4th quarter D and prevent offense. Carr > Minchey.
We’ve played our third teamers while I don’t think Miamis backup QB has seen the field yet this season.
Will be ridiculous to have an 8-5 Duke make the playoffs alongwith Tulane. Teams that have 20+ point losses on their resumes with two losses have no business being there.
