btw, My wife and I watched ESPNU and ESPN for like hours and didn't see a single mention on either... did we just miss it or did they do us like I thought they might and make it one of those two second highlights...?

Oh, and interesting ESPN stat of the night... ND has now won 26 games in a row when they've out rushed their opponent.

To add fuel to the ESPN conspiracy theorists' fire:

I switched over to ESPN about 15 minutes after the game was over and Linda Cohn was was doing a piece on the questionability of TCU's schedule. At one point they were talking about how all the teams TCU beat aren't really great teams, yada yada yada.

Long story short, she discredited Utah because, and I quote- "Utah would then go on to lose to Notre Dame of all teams. Yikes!"

What the eff is their problem with us?!

Like you thought. Haha they showed the Hughes td run and then made it look like sc gave away the game with the rojo drop.

Espn can't ruin my weekend tho. Ten years of total frustration have finally been cleaned away! So friggin happy for our boys. Especially the seniors. Let's keep this win streak going!

I watched the game with my married neighbor friends, neither of who know a thing about football nor care. They accommodated me by having the tv on the ND game, but the lady could not stop talking about her theories on life. Good thing she was sitting within my peripheral vision of the tv. Not even my few eruptions of YEEEEEEEAAAAHHHH would cause her to stop talking.

The only time she paused was when she saw a tear come out of my eye at the end of the game and asked me what was wrong.

They were both rooting for USC. Well, at one point she noticed my eye on the tv and in mid theory said "I want USC to win", then she continued with her theories. I'm still not sure if they know who won. Nor care...

I hope ND can keep Diaco for a few years.

Hell, I was at an all Irish house with only 2 SC fans (who were respectfully quiet when SC did well), but one of the SC fans was talking about fantasy effing football for like the first 4 minutes of the game, when his brother-in-law told him to kindly STFU. And he did.

ND has the NBC contract, and ESPN/ABC are direct competitors. The have no interest in making us look good. It is annoying as hell though.

It was an insignificant game to the viewing country. Even ABC had the game in small caps under the OU-OSU game in pre-game buildups.
