the first drive the passed the ball on 1st down several plays with success they get down to 1st and goul three run plays and the striped ball for a touchdown would it have heart them to try a pass play on fisrst and goal to floyd athe next series that they got to fo fidst and goul run play agian where a pass play would have worked i know they scored and iy was called back and they had an interception on the play if you take a look at the plays that nd scored on the were 1st down passes kelly you don't have run the ball on 1st and goul all the time

I don't want to hear any crap about play calling. Your game plan gets thrown out the damn window when you go down 3 scores due to knucklehead turnovers and penalties.

Kelly had to go away from the run which was going well. We needed points fast.

This game was a case of two issues. TURNOVERS and PENALTIES!!! Dumb ones!!

I have been watching ND football for over 30 years and NEVER seen such a game. We could not find another way to gift wrap the game for USF.

In the end, we play those guys 10 more times and we beat them 9 times.

I didn't think the play calling was bad at all. We just didn't execute

Play calling was fine; we actually moved it all over the field when QB play was decent. We scored 20 points in second half. Doubt anyone would have questioned play calling if it had been 40 for the game.

Play calling was pretty good we got the running backs involved early, passed when we needed to and drove the ball down the field. Later when we needed to pass they were all well called pass plays
