Not in the SEC, but didn't a recent major school 5* commit change his school on signing day when a Texas school suddenly realize the major college potential of his high school coach and made him a member of their football staff?
I could be wrong about this.

The kid just saw the error of his ways. Would you rather go to a powerhouse like Houston or a JV school like Notre Dame?

I am surprised we dont hear more of this to be honest. I bet it happens more than we think, especially when dealing with SEC schools. The coach is right though, the only person that is going to get hurt is the athlete himself.

NCAA wont do anything, even if all the evidence is right there in front of them.

Nick Saban-according to Paul Finebaum is the most powerfull man in the NCAA-what a joke. This bs comes as no surprise-rather I'd be surprised if they were playing anything straight. I would bet that the reason the kid from LSU is gone is yes broken rules but they knew this kid was a screw up and would jeopardize the program at some point. They probably feel like they dodged a bullet. Think about it-you $%#@can your best player and dont try to disguise it like you have done numerous times before. These coaches know who the trainwrecks are. The SEC in reality is doing college football no favor unless they plan to turn college football into pro football. Otherwise everyone in the world knows what is going on. Saban, now thats another story he is one sly slick dude.

Look at how many players Alabama has and now look at how many ND has. Academics aside, I'd bet there are a handful that could make it at ND.

It's a shame because a lot of those kids are wasting away. No matter how many kids sign up, its still 11 v 11.
