It took me a bit of time. They do have NHL 94 controls though.

the stick is the best feature they have come up with imo... totally turned that franchise around...

Agreed. EA has really distanced itself from 2K when it comes to hockey..

EA used to be arcade style and 2k used to be a sim... it's totally flipped now and 2k is hardly playable...

EA's hockey game is right there with Fifa as the best sports title out there

It is. And they keep adding to it. This year with the CHL and there are rumblings that NCAA could be in the game next year

i have it pre ordered, plus I got the demo the day it came out. I have beat team canada a number of times(only NEED to do it once to get the upgraded pack). So far the limited NHL 11 demo is superior in hitting, passing, and overall defending. Glitch goalers are gonna be upset because I Think its easier to stop glitchers with the improved defensive options (improved hitting, poke check, etc)

it remains to be seen what online improvements have been made, but im locked in in buying it no matter what.

apparently if you download the demo, you earn bonus card packs that will be available to your account as soon you purchase the full game on september 7th. If you beat team canada you will get an upgraded card pack with a uber rare card. You can earn 2 card packs, one for playing the demo, one for inviting friends to download and play the demo. if you beat team Canada in Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT) you will get one of your bonus packs upgraded with the uber rare card.

FIFA is by far and away my favorite sports game out right now, as for NHL -- it's always a game I wouldn't MIND getting. But between FIFA & NCAA football .. my gaming schedule is full.

Have any of you guys played the demo? The game is pretty cool and i enjoy the facts that pretty much every hit is different and they added celebrations, I wish they wouldn't have slowed down the game speed as much though
