Did the ball not pop out of his hands after it hit the ground? He grabbed it in the air again but the ground popped it out.

This call could be the game. I feel like it is 100% a catch, but I am often left puzzled by the rulings on review. I am not nearly as confident that the the call will be upheld as I am that is was a catch. All I know is that if it isn't a catch, the rule is wrong and needs to be changed, because there is no good argument that would say he didn't catch that ball.

Did the act of the catch take him to the ground or did he get taken down. That's the difference here.

Had he protected the ball as opposed to lunging towards the end zone he woulda caught it

The ball came out of his hands because of the ground. That is incomplete.

Yes. Horrible rule. His knee and elbow were down prior to the ground causing the fumble. But unfortunately it is the rule.

He took like four steps with the ball. He clearly had control of it. His leg and other elbow were down before the ball hit the ground. And he didn't even lose control of it off the ground in any meaningful way. Whoever decided that should be the rule should be brought to my front door so I can punch him in the face.

Terrible call. Had full possession, braced his fall with one arm and lunged for the end zone with the other arm...somehow those aren't football moves? Is that why they called it incomplete?

Read/heard so many stupid Cowboys/refs conspiracy theories this week too...

I agree with it is a horrible rule. Someone running the ball would be down before the ball came out.

Idk what everyone is upset about on the Twitterverse. We see this type of play EVERY GAME and the rule is the rule. Not saying the rule is a good one but that was clearly not a catch.

Cost the Lions a big game when Calvin caught a TD that was waved off for the same ruling. I hate the rule. The 'football move' part of it is BS. If you catch a ball diving and are touched down you never make a football move but it's still a catch at that spot. To me that play was no different as he lost control after he was down.

I am not saying the officials are in the bag for Dallas. I think they have made or not made terrible calls both directions. I want the crews back not this individuals that haven't worked together ever put together for the most important games of the year.

Pretty much where I'm at with it. Hate the rule, but it was called correctly.
