I think if we were to compare the times we received the email, they would be within a minute or two. Jack had his secretary send that same one to everyone in a email blast

How good were those defenses Ludwig was putting up those numbers against? UCLA and USC were trash for sure on that side of the ball. Who else did they play?

Lesson learned here is don't parade anyone around at a hockey game unless the deal is 100% done.
Funny that is your lesson learned.

ND goes from clearly balking at paying the buyout to hiring cheaply from within

The real lesson is that ND isn’t serious about National Titles.

The real other lesson learned is Swarbrick doesn’t respect Freeman as HC and that Swarbrick actually runs the program.

The hockey game fiasco is merely a symptom of these diseases.

Valid question but at the end of the day, they won back to back conference championships in a league that has really only been recently been won by Stanford, USC, Oregon and Washington in the last 20 years. They made their mark however you want to look at who they were playing.
I look at schematics and concepts more than the opponent. Projecting some of what is below into the potential ND roster in 2023 was fun for the brief period of time we all thought Ludwig was going to be coming to campus. I do feel it would have been a good fit with the potential to develop deeper with Ludwig having an upgraded access to recruiting talent at ND vs Utah and a more advanced passing game.

I wonder if Ludwig might have a couple extra of those sweatshirts laying around, gathering dust, that could be given away for good use?

Don’t want it. Probably has a mustard stain on it from the hockey game.

I've seen just about every snap of Utah's offense going back to the 2021 Pac 12 Championship and they only thing I will say is this: on multiple 3rd and short, 4th and short, red zone and goal line plays some of you would absolutely without question would have been puking coat hangers on some of the results if it had been Rees calling plays for Notre Dame.

I can completely understand why Freeman wanted Ludwig, but based on what I've seen, I think they would have overpaid severely and there is a reason the guy decided to stay put. Utah is the Pacific Ocean compared to the ND Football Fishbowl he'd have been in.

I was very critical of the process for the OC hire. That’s not saying I don’t like Parker himself. But if we can come away with GG and Luke as hires as well that elevates the offense in my eyes.

Most team stats clearly show the Utes had a great offense. Ludwig was the hire to make towards being serious about a run at CFP.

Has Cameron Rising played any this year?
Not enough for Ludwig to have stuck around it seems.

Rising 25 years old and seems to have endured multiple injuries. Seems like a huge problem now more than ever for them and all the more proof that you'd better have capable people in your QB room or you're cooked.

I think he would've been a nice hire, but Denbrock is a home run.
100%.

Ludwig went back to Utah to be OC in 2019. Rising transferred in that same year. Look at what Rising did in 2021 and 2022.

Maybe Ludwig cashed in on a couple of good years from this QB. More power to him, but hindsight has me thinking this all worked out well in the end.
