Summary of changes in new Rivals 100 that affect recruits who have ND offers:
Of the Total of 63 ND offers, 31 were on the old Rivals 100, 32 are on the new Rivals 100.
64 of the 100 recruits on the new Rivals 100 have already committed, but a total of 14 of the 36 uncommitted have ND offers, so even though a lot of elite recruits have already committed, there is still a lot left on the board. The uncommitted group with ND offers is primarily in the most elite Top 50 category with 11 of the 14. Just to illustrate what an elite group CW targeted this year 11 out of 14 for the Top 50 that have ND offers compares with only 19 total left in the Top 50 out of 36 total uncommitted offers in the Rivals 100. What ND is left looking at is a very elite group. Only 8 uncommitted recruits in the current Rivals Top 50 do not have an ND offer, and we expect that to shortly decrease to 7 when #29 Deion Walker receives his written offer.
Of the 14 remaining Rivals 100 uncommitted recruits that have ND offers, the Irish appear to be still on the radar of at least 6.
The best hopes remain Floyd & Trev.
Ryan Williams remains a definite possibility but he will have to get on campus and pull the trigger before C. Thomas who is not a Rivals 100 guy.
Patchan has become more & more of a long shot as he is rumored to be committing next month without ever visiting South Bend.
We are supposed to be in Sabino’s Top 3 but are trailing UNC, and despite Sabino’s comments to the effect that ND will hold an offer for him, if KLM shows up for his Official Visit on 9/22 and decides to commit, I believe Sabino will lose his spot.
ND is expected to make Baldwin’s Final 3, but Baldwin is adamant about waiting until NSD to decide.
ND is considered to have little or no shot for the other 8 uncommitted Rivals 100 recruits who have Irish offers, Aghayere, Beal, Arthur Brown, T.J. Bryant, Shayne Hale, The Thrill, Pryor & Darrell Scott.
