Farley Tweets incessantly. A lot of his Tweets are pretty funny. I just checked and he's churned out 15 Tweets in the last three hours.

I love how Diaco was all over the guys after the game. We have the best D coordinator in the country.

I heard his comment about the crowd noise and it surprised me. In both the USF and MSU games we had trouble hearing the NBC announcers through most of the play by play. Whenever they went to an ISO in the booth between plays, the half, etc the announcers was louder than the crowd noise but during the game the crowd noise essentially drowned out the annoouncers (yes a small blessing with Hammond).

In the USF game I assumed it was the NBC mikes or their sound engineer with first game of the season technical woes but when it persisted during the MSU game we decided the crowd must have been louder.

We watched those games on different TVs so the home reception wasn't the issue.

On the Blanton int return he has a couple of ND players around him on the run but never got a block from one of his teammates. He broke Cousins tackle on his own. Runs down the sideline purused by the intended receiver, cut back, and wobbles around the 30 and ends up with two Spartans in front of him. There is a ND man there in the middle of the two Spartans but he hits neither of them. The potential blocker finally tries to hit #24 (Bell I believe) coming downfield as the other two make the tackle.

The ND man was wearing #1. I mumbled, "Could have been a TD with a block, Deion". Then I though what was Walker doing on Defense. Were we that depleted at DB?

It had to be the other #1, Ishaq Williams which would explain some of the uncertainity in not taking one of those two defenders. But what struck me as more amazing was a 255 pound freshman running the length of the field and being there ahead of a DB. Angle or not.

Eerily similar to Blanton getting the Irish on a role last year with a punt block vs Utah. Sometimes a play like this is what it takes to gain momentum on the season.

I noticed Ishaq out running Blanton live...

I couldn't help to notice that monster of a man running like a bulldozer down the field. The scary thing, it didn't even seem like Ishaq was going full speed...

I was yelling at the TV and ishaq was running down the field.....i just kept "holy **** ishaq is a ****in beast".....my lady was like " he didnt even have the ball"

ummm, while you guys were yelling about him being down the field. I was yelling "make that block ISHAQ!!!!"

The play would've been much prettier had he done that.

This play was a example of playing freshman. He's obviously a talented athlete but while he waited for Blanton to make his move, Blanton was looking for him to make a move on either one of the defenders. Hit somebody and let the ball carrier make his read from that. Ishaq will make that play next time.


I was also amazed on how many players from both teams were downfield at the end. What was Blanton about 3 yards past the LOS when he made the INT while on the fly. Cousins, Bell and everybody else had to turn around from at best a standing stop. Bell was moving to the left. None them were more than a few yards on the other side of the LOS. The most surprising was seeing MSU's #67, the LG, all 310 pounds, 70 yds downfield in pursuit.

I got massive goosebumps when the camera was running out onto the field with the band playing and the crowd cheering. Holy crap.

Ishaq was motioning to Blanton to cut to the left. He had the MSU player lined up for a huge decleater of a block but Blanton chose to go to the right.

Love Love LOVE how emotional Aaron Lynch is. That kid has a serious fire in his belly, and the kind of swagger and personality that I think he takes a leadership role with this team big time as early as this off season.

Kelly wants the place to get louder, I like that. I was at USF and at start of second half, the stadium was insane (partly b/c it was a night game at that point). If the stadium can keep that intensity level throughout on defense, it would be awesome. New scoreboards could take care of that...
