Difference between last year and this year is that last year Weis was assured to come back. He most likely wont be back next year, and playing in a bowl game with an interim coach and a coaching staff that may or may not be back next year isn't always beneficial. I'm not saying we should turn it down, but it will definitely be a different scenario this year.
