Nice to get the win, and see the girls get scrappier in the second half. We still have no shot at the NC with this poor defensive rebounding. If we could have protected our defensive board in the first half we would have had a 30 point lead. We were reduced to tipping the ball [even if that] and hoping that a guard would get it. That's desperation rebounding. I didn't see much of the 2nd half, but perhaps Reimer finally decided to rough it up down in the meathouse. We need it.

I could imagine a decent run with Reimer working hard all the time she's on the court at her rebounding job, and Turner getting what she can, and tipping what she can't for Loyd and Allen to clean up. Cable seems a harder worker on these thankless jobs than most anyone else we have, and playing her vs the thugs might be wise.

Bottomline: way to go, girls! You are as much a favorite of mine as the football team.

While they were getting beat on the defensive boards, they did a very nice job of blocking put backs.
