Well, we won. We were better on the boards against these people than I feared mostly due to hustle and strong hands --- but we still have a weakness there.

AND... we are a turnover machine. It's as if our girls have been watching Notre Dame quarterback play too much. Loyd, in many ways a great player, is a turnover constantly waiting to happen. And our "patience" getting the ball into our offensive zone vs a halfcourt jump press is REALLY bad. The high post positioning [which almost always is the half-court zone cracker] is poorly timed, stagnant, and generally just poorly played --- God bless Natalie Achonwa last year.

The younger post players accentuate our bad ball-handling by trying the extra "cute" internal pass, when if they'd just put the ball up, the player they were trying to pass to would be unguarded for easy put-backs.

I don't know how Muffet is going to fix this. We need one really solid ball-handler on the floor to "general" this team. We'd be nearly unstoppable offensively if we had that. Our highly-thought-of freshman point guard from WVA doesn't look ready yet.

Jewell Loyd had 25 points and four steals, Brianna Turner added 20 points and 13 rebounds, and the fourth-ranked Irish beat No. 21/22 Syracuse 85-74 on Sunday for the 15th straight time.

Notre Dame (14-1, 2-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) won its 30th straight road game to tie the record set by UConn.
