Wish that we would clean up our turnovers. But Muffet will find a way to do that, I believe.

As to Lindsay Allen leading our rebounding: that doesn't bother me too much in girls basketball.

When I was helping Ron Stewart a little with some rather good WMU teams, we always had a size deficit vs opponents. We were able to neutralize that in most games by having our two great athletic 5'9" guards [Maria Jilian and Casey Rost] crash back into the DBoards and out-athletic the bigs for the rebound. Maria and Casey were so good that they could still run fast breaks while doing this [Maria Jilian was THE best ball-handler that I've ever seen in girls basketball, and darn near the best period].

Notre Dame has much better personnel that WMU had [well, no one was better than Maria at point guard] and doesn't have so much of a deficit to make up, so Lindsay crashing back in will probably solve those issues just fine except for some very rare thug opponents. It REALLY helps guard rebounding for OUR bigs to at least block out THEIR thugs though.

Have you seen the girls from Benton Harbor play?

No. I don't travel much anymore --- not a health issue, just a preference... time to seriously root and give all I've gotten back to community. BH is real good, I presume? [and... I have no influence with the WMU staff since Stewart left.]

Not discounting your opinion. I remeber reading about Maria Jillian in the paper. I went and saw the benton harbor sisters lady year. Top boy players in southwest michigan would have trouble with them. Too bad the older sister is signed on with MSU with the sister to follow.

... Makes you wonder if they're putting a box-and-one on Loyd --- it's something that I might try looking at recent stats.
