Hey guys,

I plan on taking my father to the USC/ND game Thanksgiving weekend. Looking to see if there is a better source than Stubhub and other online ticket venues to snag some good seats. Looking for something under 60th row on the sideline (Prefer ND's).

Also, any tailgating tips for the Coliseum? This will be our first game in LA and any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Random P.S.
Ran into TWO ND alumni in Moab, Utah (a beautiful place if you've never been) and they were pretty cool dudes. Watched the BYU game at a local bar and chatted with one of them the entire 2nd half.

Most larger local alumni clubs have ticket exchanges. You could try to get involved with one or make friends with someone in the L.A. Club. Probably the best bet.

Tailgating at USC is "troublesome"--in my opinion.

its really not the greatest of neighborhoods. but, its a wet campus like notre dame. most people find "spots" for a charge. but, there isnt really "parking lots". just sort of cars parked all over the place.
NDinLA would be much more help. ive only been once or twice.

I agree with umphreak. I would recommend going to LA Live which is just a few blocks from campus. Lots of bars and a great atmosphere to go party before the game. The parking lots are scattered all over the area and there isn't really a central parking lot for tailgates and such.

You can park at LA Live too and then take a cab to the stadium or i believe there are shuttles. Or if its nice you could probably just walk.

I know the ND club of OC has a pep rally the night before.. and former players talk. I am pretty sure as well they have a shuttling service to the game.

A flack jacket or police riot gear would be a nice option. Load up on brats, burgers and numerous canisters of mace. Good luck.

Flack jacket won't help. Them ni**as got cop killa ammo in that neighborhood! Your safest bet is just to have some "whiter" than you along. That way, you can sneak away safely while they are throwing "Biff" a beatdown.

I'll be at this game as well. Found out this summer that my Uncle has season tix to USC and he offered up a ticket for me this year. WAHHHHH!!! I'm so jacked. If I can sneak away from tailgating with my Uncle and his USC buddies, I'll try to find some of y'all ND folks.

Before Stubhub, I'd try the Notre Dame Club of Utah

Notre Dame Club of Utah

and the ND Club of Orange County

Notre Dame Club of Orange County, California

Members within those clubs may have tickets they can't use. They'll sell them at cost if available. You'll find contact info at each website. The NDCOC is big and puts on first class functions, Pep Rally Friday, Communion Breakfast on Sunday. The team members and coaches are spread throughout the place, one to a table. You can request to sit with a particular player, if space is still available.

I was a house guest of the Getherall family one USC Weekend, '98 I believe when Jarious was injured. At the Breakfast a fan from OC came up to the the Getherall table, got an autograph and a picture, and asked if they knew a fan named ______ (back then I posted under my real name) who he said posted a lot about Joey on an ND message board. Joey laughed as his sisters pointed at me and said, "Ask him." The fan had a puzzled look on his face as he asked me, "You know this guy?" I nodded and replied, "T'is himself". The guy was flabbergasted. Joey's dad, asked the guy for his camera and took a picture of the OC guy, Joey, and me.

Space is limited so if you are interested contact them soon. May be sold out by now. Ask to sit with one the younger players and you'll have a better chance of getting your request.

Good luck!

Also, I'm not familiar with LA (only been twice) and I hear the Coliseum is in a bad neck of the woods. Not a good place to get a hotel room... so where is a good place?

We are flying into LAX so we'd like a place close to the airport or or the way to the Coliseum but not in a dangerous area.

Any and all suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance.

Going to this game as well. My little bro is a sophomore at USC. He's not exactly enjoying the season as much as we are...
