Right you are, thank you!
No problem man, I get your points and they're valid as well. The media talks the team up like they've played a number of quality opponents there, when in reality they've played few. So pretty much they load up on easy teams and win, and play few quality teams (although they've won those of late too).

*** As a matter of fact, looking through some articles, Oregon was the first ranked team they've hosted in the regular season so kudos to you as well.

I wouldn't say they load up on easy teams....their conference doesn't leave them much choice in that department. Word I've heard is that they're seriously considering a jump to the Mountain West, which would be huge for both BSU and the conference....we'll see.

They load up on easy games. They have 13 games this year and they played a FCS team (UC Davis). If you have the extra game atleast play a FBS school. They've been a legitimate Gonzaga-like team for a few years now, so they've had plenty of time to schedule teams. The fact that they turned down Oklahoma for a hom-and-home is kinda pathetic. They should be jumping at the chance to play a team like Oklahoma, especially in a home-and-home series.

Boise St and say Fresno St joined the Mountain West. That would give the conference 5 teams over the big east

little 11

little 11

I would have liked to see this game be the start of getting away from this conference for a long while. We dont need 'em and would have liked to see the contract with mich/msu run out. The hose job Notre Dame got in ann arbor this year turned my @$# off from playing these tools. Dont need 'em. TCU, Boise State, BYU, Tulsa, SEC team or two, Neb, Colorado, Okl St, Kansas, Va Tech, Ga Tech, Miami should have been looked at. I'm damn tired of worrying about a fair shake from little 11 refs. Yeh I know we use Big East guys on some occasions but the replay guys at their place is little 11 people. What do you think they are going to do. Armando Allen was not out of bounds, Floyd caught the ball against msu and Allen should not have been slammed for putting his finger to his mouth.

announcers said it during the byu-oklahoma game and that the oklahoma ppl were pretty shocked they turned it down, especially cause they dont offer home-and-homes to non-bcs teams all that often.

As was mentioned on ESPN radio last week, Purdue is one of (3) teams the Irish will play every year. The other (2) being U$C and Navy.

I tried to find that information via Google/Bing and the Idaho Statesman last night and couldn't find it any where. It seems strange that a story like that wouldn't exist somewhere in cyberspace....

That's my thinking as well. If that conference could boast BSU, Utah, Fresno State, BYU and TCU than there would be no way that they shouldn't replace the Big East in the BCS. One problem, though, is that there's a huge east coast bias whether people want to believe it or not. USC has been a one loss team left on the outside almost every season but nobody ever credits the Pac 10 enough and, the fact that just about every player from the 2008 USC defense was or will be drafted speaks volume about their ability. I know USC could've hung with Florida last year.

There was a great scenario involving some major realignments that would solve the current BCS quandry and give the Big10 the 12th team they want for a championship game, as well as the Pac10.

#1 Missouri joins the Big10, natural fit, compete with Illinois for recruits. Opens up newer markets for Big10.

#2 TCU joins the Big12 to take Mizzou's spot, obvious fit.

#3 Utah and BoiseSt join the Pac10.

Probably the best scenario anyone has pitched in a long time and everyone wins.

Ya, I've seen this one with either Missouri or Iowa State going to the Big 10 (no idea what they would call it with 12 teams...). Doesnt seem like a bad idea. Maybe BYU could go Independent or something because they're the one team left out. And sucks for Fresno State because they've been close for a while and just can't get to the next level. And I wish the Big East could add some teams like ECU or Tulsa or Southern Miss or even Troy but they would face some difficulties because they already have 16 teams in basketball. This is a good idea though.

For Boise State to jump to a major or more serious conference, they would have to expand Bronco Stadium. It seats 32,000 now. Not that they can't do it, but I think that would be necessary. The WAC is just that, whack, and Boise St. has outgrown it, IMO. Despite their relative "soft" schedule, they are no joke. It's a good program. Boise would go ape if ND came to town. I can't even imagine.

Amen to this post! Would love to see Missouri and Tennessee on the regular schedule rather than the big 10 schools. Maybe throw in a Michigan team from the MAC, just so we have a game in that state, and give back to college football and maybe help boost a MAC team by giving them some pub. Get rid of UCLA, Washington States, Nevadas, and add in some Florida and Texas schools, and bam, you have a helluva schedule all of the sudden.

"Ya, I've seen this one with either Missouri or Iowa State going to the Big 10 (no idea what they would call it with 12 teams...). "

Like counting is a problem for any of the 11 Big 10 teams.

They use it (name) to attract the female fans ;-7

(I apologize in advance - don't send letters to my parents - they're like in their 80's)

Then there is always the rumor/myth/truth that when the U. of Chicago dropped football they never officially dropped from the Big 10 as a charter member (that part is definately true) ... so maybe they really are already 12. Doesn't UM already play them? No that's other lower div schools - but they could make the arguement.....
