When do recruits get their jersey numbers?

Just curious if anyone had any insight on when this happens.

I read a thread somewhere last weekend that mentioned all the recruits at the banquet were making fun of Trev Robinson because they were getting their numbers and he couldn't. I was kinda suprised if that's true...seems a bit early considering they haven't signed LOA. But maybe that excites them and keeps them in the fold.

ANyone know if this really happened? If so, when do they announce numbers?

I think it's first come first serve, I know some recruits ask for specific numbers when they commit, but I don't think they're officially passed out untill spring.

Rudolph is getting 9, Crist 10, those are the only ones im sure of

and i know, a TE getting 9 isnt normal but ethan johnson and ian said at the BC weekend "Rudolph's got 9" (Ethan Johnson's HS # was 9)

What?! Who cares, that's all the more reason for another great QB to wear it. That's what I'd want if I was an incomming freshman but I can understand Dayne wanting to keep his HS number.
