I’m in that thought process where I’m deciding if I’m too invested in something outside my own control. Perhaps I need a hobby where I have some level of say. How can one love a team and take a loss personally when they don’t do anything besides cheer? I feel like I need to be more of a casual fan and bail from the endless IB and Singer podcasts. Life’s too short. Spend more time with my family and less mindlessly looking at ND stuff. IDK. Just venting.

We just lost to the 4th ranked team in the country with no time left. A couple of head scratchers with play calling but also some opportunities to make plays by guys in position that they didn’t make. Proud as hell of these kids and the sun will rise tomorrow. Fully expect the resident bitches to tee off on everything but have some perspective. I don’t give a shit what OSU does against Michigan. There’s a lot of talent on that team and our guys went toe to toe. Go Irish!!!

Completely agree with you. I think I take it too seriously. This literally can’t be good for your health. I’m dead inside

I just can’t believe Brown didn’t intercept that ball. I just can’t believe it
OSU’s Safety would’ve picked that off with the game on the line. That’s what separates us from them.

I’m right there with you. My productivity at work sucked this week because I was distracted by the hope provided by this game.

Just don’t see why I pour so much into a game I can’t impact at all.

win out and we’re still playoff bound, so this hurts a lot less than USC 2005 did. Also I’m less drunk than I was for that.

Ohio State feels like more of a top 10 team than a top 4 team this year though. So our inability to land a kill shot against them, even though we had them on the ropes for most of the night, is concerning.

Ten men on the field for the final play of the game is such a gut punch.
I can accept losing.
I'm 31. It's what i've experienced my entire fandom.
I cannot accept beating yourself. Multi million dollar a year staff cannot allow this to happen!!!!

For my entire life of fandom, ND loses these games.

Nothing changed tonight. This program is beta. No playmakers, no swag, just a bunch of cucks.
You’re a cuck. Lots of playmakers tonight, coordinators sucked at a couple critical times.

For games like this it’s nice having kids and knowing this isn’t the end of the world. Family is the most important thing in life and I plan on leaning on them to help my depression

I have given up. Straight up I have given up on us ever actually competing for anything in my lifetime. We simply do not have what it takes.

A couple weeks ago I literally attempted to kill myself. I had the rope around my neck and was checking for structural integrity. I literally put it off partly because I thought that I wanted to get through football season. Even in my darkest moment, I had the hope that we might do something. This team literally gave me life.

But that is gone.

We will never win another championship. We probably won't break our NY6 streak before that term literally doesn't mean anything anymore. We will never be anything other than what all our critics say we are. That was proven before the game when we let yet another team paint our stands. The game just solidified it.

Hopefully I find something else to keep me on this earth before my next breakdown, but that thing will definitely no longer be Notre Dame.

USC is going to do anything they want to us.

We have holes on the team but talent is comin’. We are still, all things considered, a younger team. But we comin’. No doubt OSU has more team talent. But we comin’. Our players are growing and learning. But we comin’. We were that close. We comin’. The missed field goal should’ve been a chip shot. Room to grow. More to learn. But we comin’. Proud of this team. We ain’t done yet. Cause we comin’.
