Dear Charlie....:soapbox:

Learn from what App St and Oregon did to Michigan in the first two weeks! SPREAD THE OFFENSE OUT AND THROW, THROW, THROW, THROW!!

Love,
A Buckeye, Mountaineer, and Duck fan (and maybe an Irish after this week!):bbanana:

Yeah, the UM Secondary is suspect at best...might as well exploit it.

Did they get faster this week arleady? Did they learn to tackle? If not, it'll be the same team this week as it was the opening week and last week

You hit on an interesting issue here...TENURE & EXPERIENCE.

ND is improving since it is filled with young fellas...with little experience. This UM team is very senior and expected bigger things. They are easy to scheme against since they are well known.

This will be the lone time I root for the Buckeyes. I hope they blow them out. Tired of the 'Ty is 2-0 and Weis is 0-2 so ND made a mistake by giving Weis a big contract'.

Go Buckeyes. :sigh:

No *sigh* needed. The Buckeyes are no enemy or rivalry to ND.

Go Buckeyes WHOOP DA HUSKIES!!!

Maybe we should dictate a type of tempo on offense. Start off with a no huddle.

No huddle sure would be a good way to get Michigan stuck in a certain package, maybe contain the blitzing a bit and let the offense get into a rythmn, use the speed we have to keep the D on their heels. It will be interesting to see how we do attack.

that's what I say. Change tempo the whole game. Mess them up. Their D looks like they don't know what they are doing as it is. They think too much and don't react enough.

Good luck this weekend vs. UW. I seriously hope you guys absolutely destroy them. I'm sick of hearing the TW Huskies are 2-0, and how they beat BSU last week, ending the nation's longest winning streak. Kick their asses, please!!!!!

Haha...yeah no kidding, honestly their offense isnt that bad, but our defense has played real well up to this point, I just dont see them scoring enough to win, that being said....we may need a defensive or special teams TD to win it, or put it away, our offense blows right now, they got the wrong QB starting in my opinion, but hey, what the hell do i know?

Best of luck to the Irish and their fans this weekend, hope you guys can pull one out!

I dont know that Id be comfortable with this with a true fresh QB with 1 1/4 games under his belt.

Clearwall, I'd agree with you had the circumstances been different, but after watching Jimmy against Penn State last weekend and his brief work against GT, I get the feeling that Jimmy is ready for this mentally and emotionally. If you are worried about his grasp of the offense, then yes, that may be a little worrysome, however, if Charlie were to spread the offense, 4 maybe 5 wide, then Jimmy would have many options and allow him to rely on his recievers athleticism to make some plays. Quick slants, hitches, quick outs all work very well when the defense is spread and I have the faith that Jimmy can accurately deliever the ball, so even though we may spread the offense we don't need to throw the ball deep downfield like we saw Oregon do but can rather drop quick and throw in order to protect Jimmy.

We've all heard how fast and athletic our young wideouts are, lets use them that way then, hell, throw Armando and Tate on opposite sides and watch the show begin. It will be like steve smith, quick hits then take it to the house.

What I would like to see happen early tomorrow.....

Let's hope the Irish can jump ahead of the Maize & Blow early. It will take the crowd right out of the game then. On offense I would like to see us spread the field....quick pass and runs to offset the blitz. On defense I would like to see 8 in the box....I don't think Lurch can beat us throwing the ball. If the O-line can make a few blocks the Irish will have their 1st win
