Clearwall, I'd agree with you had the circumstances been different, but after watching Jimmy against Penn State last weekend and his brief work against GT, I get the feeling that Jimmy is ready for this mentally and emotionally. If you are worried about his grasp of the offense, then yes, that may be a little worrysome, however, if Charlie were to spread the offense, 4 maybe 5 wide, then Jimmy would have many options and allow him to rely on his recievers athleticism to make some plays. Quick slants, hitches, quick outs all work very well when the defense is spread and I have the faith that Jimmy can accurately deliever the ball, so even though we may spread the offense we don't need to throw the ball deep downfield like we saw Oregon do but can rather drop quick and throw in order to protect Jimmy.
We've all heard how fast and athletic our young wideouts are, lets use them that way then, hell, throw Armando and Tate on opposite sides and watch the show begin. It will be like steve smith, quick hits then take it to the house.
