Great comeback vs the best CBB team at their home field. Good luck at the CWS.

Really fun few days. Haven’t watched as much this year as last (busy), but caught the last 5 games. This team is fun to watch and I’m thrilled that I get to see them some more…. Thought UT was going to get going big at some point, but the pitching really held together. UT was also very easy to root against

Irish to Omaha! Great win by the Irish.

The bats came alive in the top of the 7th & 8th.

What impressed me the most is the relief work of Rao and Findlay in save opportunities, especially against a team with future MLB players like Lipscomb and Ortega.

Give Link that brinks truck with his name on it.

The narrative is kind of grating,… I get it’s an upset but ND wasn’t some Cinderella scrub team,… they were ranked number 1 at one point too. By the sound of it ND has no business being here at all and pulled an all time epic upset instead of the nations top team being upset by another really good squad.

The media created the narrative—not anyone on this board. Not just that ND was 5 foot nothin, 100 and nothin, with just a speck of athletic ability…but also that Tennessee was the Gashouse Gang and Murderers Row combined.

But, I mean, to go into Knoxville and take 2/3 with the game we lost being Bertrand’s start…that’s definitely something that I didn’t even expect. We certainly were underdogs without much expectation to anyone that doesn’t bleed blue and gold. I’m not sure any prognosticators had us winning the series.

Yeah, I was referring to the media,… no one on this board

Congrats men. Enjoy every minute of it.
Back when I played beer league softball for True Value Hardware we had one saying and one saying only: You have to drink at least one beer in the dugout between innings.

We didn’t win much, and I’m not sure how it applies in this context, but we definitely got real drunk—just like I will when we pull off the upset this afternoon!
I played my fair share of beer league softball as well. Although one beer per inning might be a little steep lol. I hope that you’re enjoying today’s celebratory beverages btw. 🍻

Nicely done men. Just like my old coach used to preach: homefield advantage, bull shit. We’ll whip your ass in the f-ing park lot. Just throw the damn ball. Love that this team went into to Knoxville and smacked the bully. Makes it just that much more sweet.

Good luck and enjoy every minute of it. Last year you got your first taste, this time we turn the page!!

Haphazard shit!

LMAO!
Haphazard indeed. Can be fun to watch but heart wrenching if you’re on the wrong side…

My last game we had it won. 9th inning, 2 outs, runners on 2nd and 3rd, up 1 run with our closer on the bump who just got drafted by the Yankees a few days earlier. Routine ground ball to 2nd - easy 3rd out, we’re onto the next loser bracket game, right? No, that damn ball hit a sprinkler head and jumped 20 feet in the air into right field. Both runs score and that’s that. I was playing 1st base too. 👎🏻

One of the most important athletic victories in a longtime-what they did in that environment was epic-thats really hard to do trust me (as a former pitcher) what the staff did today was tremendous and the regulars-- well enough said really a big moment----HATS OFF TO THE IRISH!

Was coaching travel ball and had the game audio going. We actually had a rain delay where I got to see the finish. Great game!!!

Debating taking my OSU ticket budget and sending it to Omaha!
