I've never been enamored with Boise St. They've won a couple of big games but they play a weak schedule year in and year out.

Who from BSU has succeeded after leaving there?

Nutt had some good seasons and ARK and then it turned to crap. Did the same thing at Miss.

Koetter went to ASU and won a little than half his games.

Hawkins went to Colorado and won less than 1/3 of his games.

Peterson's doing a little better than Sark.

I agree. Not a whole lot of production at the next level, but does that say more for his coaching ability than against it regarding talent?

I'm not sure just a thought.

I'm not sure if this is what you were alluding to but I believe BGIF was referring to which coach has had success after leaving BSU. Not players.

Houston Nutt left Murray St when Boise's coach at the time died. He was there for one year.

Koetter was there without Peterson and was just good.

Hawkins got promoted to HC after Koetter and hired Peterson away from Oregon to be OC. Hawkins had a great record but not the signature wins of of Peterson.

Peterson takes over and coaches both Fiesta Bowl victories over Oklahoma and TCU. Wins more than Hawkins and ends up with a better record than Rockne.

His classes are getting stronger each year and with the PAC overall trending downward, they are poised to return to their 90's levels.

I behind, I realize.

That's how good coaches, coach teams.

It's incredible to watch the difference. I'm not on the fire BK train, but we all just saw what happened. That is a less talented squad, from a rankings perspective, and they dominated.

Good for them, teach college football how it can be done. That was fun to watch.

... but not much.

Congrats to tko and jspags10pg for the correct choice.

Several talking heads early today called Stanford as ripe for upset. Despite the loses I though their depth would prevail. Wow. They got beat in the trenches on both sides.

Despite the lopsided score I'm not sold. They've played a very weak schedule (145th Sagarin) to date and Stanford injuries exposed them as has ND's injuries (secondary) and under performing OLine and DLine.

Why thank you BGIF.

As Military_Irish noted:

I was pointing out that Peterson is different & better, he's the one that had the big time Boise wins and he's clearly building something big in Seattle.

...and just wait till the recruiting bounce hits as this season goes on and especially in '18.

Wonder what Foster Sarrell was thinking as he sat in the stands last night?

In regards to Stanford. I've been preaching it, they don't have the same talent level on OL and DL they've had over the past 8 years. Mostly mid level 3 star recruits. One 5 star, one upper level 4 star and just two other low 4 star starters out of the first 9 combined lineman.

"I can fix this."

(Gonna be my motto and answer for everything now.)

Washington doesn't need any fixing... They do have 2 McGlinchey sized tackles though that are both sophs.

Unlike everyone else, Washington's never felt the Sarrell race is a Stanford - ND only affair.
