The first game of the tournament is often times the most difficult. And the difference between a 12 and 5 seed isn't all that great these days.

So I watched the whole game from my office up to the final 2 minutes, then I had a student issue I had to tend to, saw on my phone it was cut to a one point game and now just got back....

TWO final chances to win it. Princeton got themselves a good-ish look with almost no time left, but rather than driving to the bucket and going for the bucket or foul, they shot a 3 and missed.

Oh geez really?? When I saw a final possession breakdown it read like they kept fouling us and such so I assumed one of those where it was close but not really in doubt.

Gonzaga is getting exposed. SDSU is basically playing with one foot in the paint on D. I hadn't watched much on the Zags, but I am really regretting my final four pick right now. If we win our next game, we have a real shot.

Well they did foul several times late because they needed to, but Farrell missed a foul shot on the front-end of a one-and-one with like 10 seconds left that gave Princeton a shot at the win. It was definitely in doubt haha

A good coach who brought IU out of a deep rut. Just couldn't complete the job in the end.

Vandy did the same thing against Northwestern. Down two with 14 seconds and instead of driving to the basket the guy shoots about a 25 footer that he missed. In those situations you gotta go to the basket. Nothing there then kick it out for a better outside shot than the one they got.
