How Does USC Survive?

Free IrishSportsDaily article on how USC will survive.

Love that last paragraph:

WIN IN 2011

This is going to be the most important season for the USC program. If they go out and lose a bunch this season there is very little reason for top recruits to consider USC, which would result in them immediately losing relevance. There are far too many attractive options for players in California for them to consider a program that is not only on probation but also is losing games. Losing would crush this program and it could take a decade to recover. If they win in 2011 they will be able to sell recruits on their continued ability to go to the next level. Also, players who sign with USC this year and years after will be eligible to play in bowl games and compete for titles before they leave. That strategy will simply not work if the Trojans cannot win in 2011. Opponents of USC have to view this season with the same importance. This is their chance to bury the Trojans, so expect some serious battles on the field when the Trojans are playing in 2011.

So what I am seeing (from their posts on their boards) is that they still are not accepting responsiblitly for FUBARING. Why punish you? Because you messed up!!
Oh and its quite funny to see people here saying Hayden is gonna save USC when the so cruelly talked about him while he was here.

Um...I didn't think it was possible for me to lose respect for USC (because I didn't have much to begin with), but these people are out of their minds. I'm sure the people with the craziest reactions to this are not representative of all USC people, but the homer "journalists" and the message board sycofants are truly unbelievable.

How long will the "blame everyone but me" attitude last? At some point don't you have to be honest with yourself, accept what you did wrong and move on?

Sory to confuse you there Johnny, the stuff that I read was from this post (and the links in it).
The USC alumn's/fans were not willing to accept the blame for doing something wrong, or are still blind to the fact that they did somethign wrong.
It also seems as if alot of ND fans are saying Hayden is the one to save USC from its downward spiral into the depths of hedoublehockeysticks. I remember a few years ago people bashing Hayden for being a USC homer as well (I can not say if they are the same people though for certain).

I agree Pray.

Haden took a no-win job. I respect the guy. It's funny how fast they have turned on him though. USC'ers are hating on anyone and anything.

Welcome to mediocrity USC. This is what you receive when you cheat.

USC got another commit in some LB from CA today. Making him their 9th verbal this year. How much longer will this BS go on. I read somewhere on here they could only take 6 commits?

The LB committed yesterday, and he was a lifelong Trojan fan whose dream was to play football for USC. He was offered yesterday, asked is dad for permission to commit, then called SC right back and committed. This was well-known around the SC community - that once they offered, Starr would commit.

As for the 6 commits - that's if nobody goes pro or transfers or has a medical hardship or they don't kick anyone off the team. Barkley's gonna go pro (done deal - write it down), plus several others will think about it (Nick Perry for sure), and I'm sure they'll find ways to Sabanize players that aren't performing to task.

In all, it wouldn't surprise me in the least to find that they'll end up using all 15 schollies plus 2 from last year's class that will be EE's, for a total of 17 commits...
