Sorry about not being around guys. Been fighting with my Internet and phone company. They wanted an absurd amount to come fix a mistake they made. So I told them to come remove their stuff and I'm in the process of switching.. They should have it done Friday, so right now I can only get on at work and sometimes tap off my neighbors Internet. wow, I just lost a TE to Texas because of the stupid recruiting servers. I was going to put 40minutes into a TE that Texas is also going after and the server locked up. Never did anything with him and it keeps saying I already called him (even though the phone is still green). SUCKS BALLS, last week it happened to a Safety I was going after. I am not sure why it has to connect to the servers for every single call, why not just do it normally, then connect to the servers after you have done everyone.

When this happens, back out of recruiting completely and then come back in and you can call the recruit.

Well, like I said in PM Andy, I'll join in or commish this thing if anyone wants me to. Good either way. My online dynasty plays three times a week...Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday nights for advancements. We play 6 minute quarters on Heisman, with the average score of all the best Heisman slider sets from Operation Sports forums (as well as their very well done roster file). This has produced very realistic, challenging and engaging games.

People win games 30-21, 17-14...stuff like that. I think the most points scored so far was 45. The CPU actually gets a bit of a run game (lol) and the players seem to play well like themselves. I couldn't merge this one with my other one because the guys in my other one all live in Kansas City, and we have a very nice trophy that gets a new name plaque on it each time someone wins the NC. They then get to keep it till the next NC is crowned.

I could do that for a new league though. We, meaning my friends and I, play all year till the new game drops so we're pretty serious about it and not flaky. Up to you guys. If you want me to roll one out I will or just jump in and help add one more player to your dynasty.

First year is now on week 6. There are 4 slots available due to people bowing out. In the interest of gauging interest (dre1919, mcmanus and TheFlyingAlamo have all done so) here are some of the more desirable teams available:

#6 South Carolina (5-0)
#9 Clemson (5-0)
#18 Florida (4-0)

Now keep in mind, the present 11 players are in the BIG12 (4), ACC (1), BiG10 (3), PAC12 (1), MAC (1) and MWC (1). Four of us are still undefeated with only 3 player versus player games played so far.


Drew and I were discussing switching to the Operation Sports sliders and 6 minute quarters (down from 8) and he's also expressed interest in being the Commish (which I am totally fine with since my semester has started). I didn't want to disrupt the OD by changing sliders, transferring commish and inviting people without making a post here for everyone in and wanting to be in as we get into the best part of the season.

Hello all! My name is Andrew and I told Andy In SacTown I'd be willing to either join or take over as commish of this dynasty if you guys want. I have been playing this series of NCAA for waaaay too long (back to the first year it came out). I commish another online dynasty of local friends, and we actually have a real trophy we put a small plate with our name on each season we win the NC (if someone does). Such is the nature of our depravity.

If you want me to just join, I am totally cool with that and I will pick a team when Andy shoots me an invite. If you want me to run it, here is what I would propose. We use these settings in my other dynasty and it makes for a challenging, all around realistic game with some outstanding results. Most games are like 21-14, 30-21, etc. Highest points I've seen yet is 45. Anyway:

Level: Heisman
Qrts: 6 min
Minimum Speed: 30
Game Speed: Normal
Sliders: We use the average score of each category from all the great Heisman slider sets made on Operation Sports forum (with a couple very minor tweaks).
Roster: Operation Sports outstanding roster (players and coaches named and corrected).

I can take over commissioning this Saturday if you all want. My other one advances three times a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday evening at 9:30 CST). If you want we could easily do a two or three game a week advance, preferably on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday if three a week is what you want. All up to you guys, so just shoot me or Andy in Sactown a message and let me know.

The one I use currently, the Operation Sports one, seems pretty legit. The only thing that I think isn't correct is Tee Shepard is still on the team.

BTW, I haven't heard anything back from Andy_In_SacTown so I don't know if he wants me to take this one over, join, or stay the hell out. lol So, I guess when I pick up that pay feature of being able to commish more than one dynasty online, if I haven't heard anything from him, I'll just make a new one and send any IE people that want to play an invite. Dunno...

psn is theIrishLion10... the operation sports rosters are good, but I have mine updated to where ND is about as accurate as possible with the 70-man limit. I took out a walk-on, Prestwood, Tausch, and Roberson; in their places created Barratti, Prosise, Okwara, Brown and Ferguson. Every team only has 69 players to start, so I was able to turn 4 errors into 5 correct players. Russell is also moved to corner, with a rating that reflects his starting position over Atkinson/Brown. Had to take liberty with some of the freshman numbers though, due to not being able to double number (2, 15, 6)

Equipment is also right for the most part according to what the players were wearing in the Blue-Gold Game. Tendencies are even correct for the players I had to add (Brown has high speed/jumping, Ferguson a balanced possession receiver).

I also added Silas Redd to USC and changed Isaiah Crowell into a RB committ for Georgia that was not in the game originally. Other changes I have not kept up with.

Operation Sports Rosters are usually pretty good, but they royally screwed up ND by turning Neal into Luke Massa (way overrated) and turning KeiVarae Russell in Davonte Neal (and also adding Tee Shepard, which EA didn't do). Also, they had changed GAIII's number back to 34, which can't be corrected back to 4 since EA must program double numbers. Once you take a players number away that shares with another player and then save, it can't be fixed back.

I was really surprised that no one had taken Notre Dame??!! LOL What does that say about us as fans? I saw that and was tempted, and I guess if nobody else takes them I might, but for now I grabbed the Vols because I was once again surprised no one took a team in the SEC??!! That's hilarious.

Thanks Andy, sorry for the late grab of the invite...you probably sent it the other day and I have been really busy with freelance work myself that I hadn't had time to check. I love this game but I definitely have to say I wish the Notre Dame helmets were done better. They look fine in the light of day but when it's a late afternoon or night game, they turn mud brown as if the stadium isn't lit or something. Nice touch EA! LOL

On a more important note, does everyone want to stay with the settings this dynasty currently has, or do you mind me changing them to the ones I use in my other dynasty? The main differences that I noticed in the two are:

Recruiting difficulty in mine is Heisman

Quarter Length is 6 minutes instead of 8

Minimum Speed Threshold is 30 instead of 0

I use the average score per category of slider from about six different slider sets on Heisman instead of the default Heisman settings. An example of this is the default Heisman slider for the CPU QB Accuracy is 50, whereas mine is 35 I believe. Or, better, the default QB Accuracy for the USER is 50 and mine is 15 (passers generally only average 50-60% completion and this bears out on this setting).

It's not a big deal either way, and I haven't yet played a game on this dynasty (BYE week with the Vols) to known what it's like. I will say my settings I use give a good, challenging game where you have to know football and think. You will see realistic stat lines and most games are more likely to be 28-14 scores than 56-10 type games. The CPU is smarter and actually generates a run game.

So again, I'm not trying to horn in on what y'all have already got going on and be the BMOC. I truly enjoy the settings my other league uses, as do the members of that one, so I think you guys would too. But, you gotta be ready or it'll kick you in the balls!

BTW, what are the advance dates of this dynasty? Nobody told me. lol
