I feel like, this is supposed to be playoff basketball. These should be the best teams in the league, especially in the conference finals. Historically, that's when refs have "let the players play" when it comes to fouls. I can't believe they can't see what's going on. Which makes me feel like the league is mandating the style of reffing that's taking place.

It's not an enjoyable form of basketball.

I completely understand the entertainment aspect of sports. It's a huge component of being able to consume it for hours at a time.

These teams are trying to win games competitively in the end, and they're going to do what they think they need to do to win. It can often not be pretty to look at.

This obviously isn't exclusive to just the NBA. I wouldn't care if 99% of the world feel asleep watching Notre Dame win a championship, however. As a neutral, though, it can be tough trying to watch a couple of teams you have no vested interest in play a certain way.

I mean normally the NBA Playoffs are just sort of something to stretch time between Spring Ball and August for me, but these playoffs and the Pacers have been awesome. So much fun.

Dudes love to hate on the NBA, but appreciate it for what it is. Yeah, okay, the rules differ from suburban Chicago 7th grade CYO in 1983…but it’s competitive. It’s fun. The Pacers-Knicks rivalry is one of the best in the NBA. It’s entertaining.

‘Cers in 6 was my prediction and I’m sticking with it.

Insane bounce
Holy Moly. It seemed like it was going up forever, but to come straight down from that height?!!

With a little over two minutes left the pup was at the door wanting to go out. Given they were down by 12 or 13 at the moment I took him out figuring it was not going to happen. Come back in and they're talking about a two possession game with 39 seconds to go. These guys are crazy. I need to start placing in-game bets when they get down by double digits.

I know Nesmith didn't guard Brunson the entire game, but dude had to exert a ton of energy trying to fight over all those screens and make Brunson work. Amazing that he had the legs to do what he did at the end of the game.

What a game. I grew to hate NY as they were beating my Celtics so it's given me a strong rooting interest for the Pacers. Kinda 50/50 in the other series.

What Indiana is doing right now is absolutely insane. Teams can’t relax with any lead on them. Saw somebody else call them the Plot Armor Pacers and damn is it fitting. They keep pulling off magical comebacks. I hope they go all the way cause their style of basketball is incredible to watch.

For all of you NBA nostalgists, I'll say one thing: you didn't see these types of comebacks in the 90s. They were few and far between compared to now. The three point shot has definitely played a factor in that along with various rule changes that have occurred since the turn of the century.

Game 6 of the 1992 NBA Finals in Chicago was a classic. The Bulls were down 18 points in the fourth quarter. Phil Jackson put Pippen on the floor with four reserves. They came back and won 97-93.

I feel like these types of games are far more common now. Combination of many things.

Agree. Never been easier to go up 20 or blow a 20 point lead. Can make it fun or gut wrenching.

And his peers voted him most overrated. Oops.
He said he's used that as motivation. I have to question those that voted. They also had The Greek Freak on the list.

While the play isn't as wide open as it is today, this Pacers team reminds me a lot of the Pacer teams that won the ABA.

At every level, too.

Interestingly enough, the Jazz came back from 36 down against Denver in November of 1996. Greatest comeback deficit of all time.

There were multiple 20+ comebacks this past season alone.

Bulls did it against Orlando as well in game 2 of the ECF.

Lakers did it against the trailblazers in game 7 I believe in 2000 of WCF.

Honestly I think they’ve happened far more than we remember.

It’s been a long time since an NBA game gave me an emotional high. Was really fun to watch.

I like him, but last night particularly in the first half if you were just listening and not watching you would have thought the Knickerbockers were up by 20 when the led by 3.

Pacers are the only team to ever win playoff games 1 & 2 in the Garden.

Can’t pull a game 3 like they did against Cleveland. Need to win Sunday night and put the Knicks in a tough spot .
