I gotta give the Heat, but most deservedly James credit. He came through and got his championship. No excuses, he did it, I hate it, but he earned it. Crow eaten.

Yeah, as much as I hate his antics, and even the way he celebrates...

... he played incredible last night and the whole series. What I wanted Heat fans I know to understand was that people didn't disrespect him because he was a bad player. No, that was impossible. We disrespected him because he went about his game like a toddler, exhibiting infantile behavior left and right. Last was was his penultimate moment of this type of behavior. I was pissed because he was allowing his talent to be overshadowed by his on and off court antics.

Then, this year, and especially this playoffs, he's dropped (for the most part) those ridiculous antics and focused on the game. And when he did that, he was unstoppable. LeBron finally realized that dancing around, whining to the refs, doing all this other nonsense to enhance his image was in reality only harming his image to the fans of 29 other teams. Now, it's hard to not respect his game. When he focused on basketball, you can see how amazing it is to watch such a player dominate.

And this is coming from a diehard Bulls fan. I don't like watching Miami or LeBron win, but at least I can finally respect them.

We have very similar views on this. That was very well said and you are 100% right, it's not that I don't respect his game. He can dominate when he wants to by attcking the rim. He did that these playoffs and earned his championship. Now the question becomes can he maintain that and will an older wiser Thunder team let him run them over. This could become the matchup for the next 4 or 5 years if these teams stay together.

This.
I think that if these teams stay together for the next several years this is going to be a great rivalry. If the Thunder can find a way to keep LBJ out of the paint and not leave Battier, Chalmers or Miller(if he continues playing) WIDE OPEN outside the arc, the Heat are going to be in trouble.
