Is anybody else really eager to see the polls come out tomorrow? I know it's early in the year but still, a lot happened this past weekend.

Where is OSU? Being the sixth best team in the country and barely, just barely, beating a Navy team when you are close to 3 touchdown favorites, something has got to change. Personally they should drop to number 9 or so, buuuuuuut, they wont drop that far because a number 3 USC vs a number 7 OSU sounds better for TV.

Oklahoma. They were number 3, lost their Heisman winning QB and lost by 1 point to the 20th ranked BYU cougars. Speaking of BYU, where the hell will they be ranked? I think OU drops to 9 (great with Bradford, not as good without him, he'll be back) while BYU moves up to 12.

Oregon looked horrible, I expect them to drop to 24 or 25 or completely out of the polls. Boise State looked good with a stifling defense, I expect them to move up to number 10.

Iowa got lucky, twice, by an unranked team, I say they are out of the top 25.

I think Bama's win was a little impressive, moves them to the number 4 spot while USC climbs to number 3. VaTech drops to 13 in my opinion.

Oklahoma State is pretty dang good in my opinion. They beat a mighty SEC team in Georgia. I say they move up to 5, Georgia moves down to 17th.

I think ND moves up, but not too much. If they beat UM and MSU then they'll jump more.

So here is what I expect come tomorrow.

1. Florida
2. Texas
3. USC
4. Alabama
5. Oklahoma St.
6. Ole Miss
7. OSU
8. Penn St.
9. Cal
10. Boise State
11. LSU
12. BYU
13. VaTech
14. Georgia Tech
15. Utah
16. TCU
17. Georgia
18. North Carolina
19. Notre Dame
20. Florida State
21. Nebraska
22. Kansas
23. Michigan St.
24. Missouri
25. Oregon St.

Let the discussion begin. (It's harder putting together a top 25 than it looks.)

Nice job.

However, in order to do this absolutely right you'd have to wait until tonight's game of FSU vs. Mia.

I'd say we go to #21. We'll move up for sure in front of Iowa and Oregon, and that's pretty much it, unless we move in front of Georgia, which I highly doubt. If FSU loses, then we'll go to #20. And that's a fair ranking IMO.

Baby steps...

I think your rankings are probably an accurate prediction of what the actual polls will look like. But I think there are a lot of teams that are overrated. BYU is the least overrated but they beat a beat-up Oklahoma and they are slighlty overrated, imo, they're a top 20 team but not top 15. I would love to see us play BYU--we'd tear them apart. Georgia Tech, Ole Miss and Ohio State are all wildly overrated.

I hate to say it but Ohio State will be exposed this weekend. They are going be torn apart by USC. You can quote me on this: Ole Miss is going to lose at least three games this year.

You noted OU drops to #9 but you have CAL at #9. It appears you omitted OU. Even without their QB for a couple of weeks they have a very soft schedule in that span.

UGA should drop below ND.

So you think the Convicts will beat the Criminoles?

Opposite, Criminoles will beat the Convicts

I am intrigued about Georgia Tech, Dwyer is a pretty good back. I wouldn't say they are completely overrated, but it will be interesting when they start to play some good teams.

Absolutely about Ole Miss, I watched the game last night. There will be teams that wont let them hang around for three quarters of the game while they dick around. By the time the fourth comes around and ole Miss feels like playing, they'll be down by 28.

I just get the feeling that they're riding the win over Florida last year. Seriously, for all of the reporters out there blowing the SEC, there are some bad teams. Arkansas, Mississippi Stae, South Carolina, Tennessee and Vandy are all average. Even Auburn isn't that good this year. But don't tell the reporters that....you'll break their collective spirit.

I don't care where we are this week. As long we're in the Top 10 on October 17th...I'm good.

I'm guessing Cincy will find their way into the top 25 after this rutgers game. Demetrius Jones had a pick towards the end of the half one play after he got flagged for a late hit lol. 31-7 at halftime

Yeah Cincy is absolutely whipping Rutgers. Wouldn't be surprised if they crack the top 25. Number 24 or 25 sounds good. Everybody things the Big East is down this year so pollsters might not think much of this.

So was Tebow when he won the Heisman. Pryor is talked about as if he is the difference maker. I'm not seeing it.

Yes Tebow did win the Heisman as a Soph but he also lost 5 games. Pryors O-Line didn't do him any favors.

I don't think it would matter if they did. If they could block, Pryor would have more opportunities to display his mediocre arm.

Pryor has one of the ugliest throwing motions ever. He has a weak arm. He is inaccurate. There are a lot of questions in Pryor's game. I am still not impressed.

So far, he is all hype, in my opinion. (Yes, so is Clausen)

yeah with the FSU loss I would move Nebraska, Kansas, and MSU up and throw Cincy in at the 23 spot. They showed some good signs of life. Made a statement.

he did avoid a sure safety with his size and speed, he's young but I can certainly see where he will become a great college level QB. Remember this is from a Michigan fan so I would want to see him fail more than any of you.

Prior is a sophomore guys. Go look at Vince Young when he was a soph, he hardly played if I recall correctly. Young's throwing motion was just as ugly, and he couldn't hit a brick wall as a soph. Pryor is faster, probably just as strong, and the same arm issues. Dude will be scary as senior. No way anyone should anyone be writing off a true sophomore who took his team to a BCS bowl as a freshman. Give him a chance. We were all saying the same thing about JC last year, and look at him now...

VY was splitting time as a Sophmore. Didnt have his breakout game until Michigan in the Rose Bowl
