Hey, Dshans, thanks for the New Riders stuff. Always liked them. Didn't they do "Don't Bogart that Joint?" Anyway, here is some more great pedal steel. Al Perkins this time, sitting in with you-know-who at Nellcote. (Edit: just remembered, it wasn't New Riders who did "Don't Bogart." I was thinking of "Panama Red." Brain is getting old. Can't believe I said that, that's grounds for execution around here with some folks.)

I know the feeling. I refuse to accept that my brain is getting old --- just clogged up a bit. It's my body that's showing its years.

Hot damn!
I love the sound...
I am too young to have experience it when it was the premiere solo instrument in country western music...but man do I have an appreciation for it!

Some of the Texas and Oklahoma country bands I listen to still use it quite heavily.

Hey, Alamo, I understand that the aforementioned Al Perkins is a real pedal steel afficianado from Texas. Maybe you ought to look him up down there, if you really like it.

And now for something completely different. Keith's excessive drug use, increasing age, and finally the fall from the coconut tree have really taken their toll, it seems. Sometimes it really begins to show:
