K... so I searched because I know we have tons of baseball threads but there were so many on so many different angles I thought we'd just start a general thread for the peps here...



what are your thoughts on the new season thus far?? After a down year last year in suspense and in ratings I'm expecting a nice bounce back year...

I'm loving Boston's record, and LOVING the Brewers long term in the Central...

Nyjer Morgan is one of my very fav. players... wish he played for the Halos... idk about his clubhouse demenor, maybe it's horrid... but the way the kid plays is the way I LOVE seeing guys in my teams uni play... hard nosed... If you get in my way I'm moving you,... HARD... if you throw at me over it I'm charging your pitcher... old. school. Love a former hockey prospect bringing that attitude back to baseball...

Troy Tulowitzski (sp?) is off to one heck of a start...

Pittsburgh has the best stadiums in all of sports... too bad they are one of the very worst teams in all of sports also.

I'm really upset, it's looks like the Cubs are picking up right where they left off during the end of last season: .500...

I like the addition of Pena and Garza, but we lack a fire somewhere. I can't put my finger on it. I'm hating Hamilton's latest ordeal; the Rangers are rocking.

Overall, it is America. There is nothing more enjoyable than a cold beer, a hotdog, and a great seat at a baseball game.

Nyjer Morgan is a total tool. Hated him when he played for the Nats... on the surface it looks like he plays hard but deep down he has a serious attitude problem. His ego/going out of the way to cause collisions cost us multiple runs and probably a couple games.

see I've wondered if there is more to it... clubhouse stuff... I only know how he plays... only once has he actually gotten dirty from what I saw and that was the play he got HAMMERED for...

but I would love to see many, many more players with his on the field attitude... makes for a better game.

yeah, sucks about Josh... have you read Beyond Belief.... good title considering how low he actually got...

the Cubs have got to unload Soriano somehow and move on... nice to see Wood back home... I'm not a Cubs fan at all, but being a big time baseball guy from a big time baseball family to idea of him one day making that big playoff out for the Cubs just feels right...

Soriano: I feel like we can still use him. It feels stale sometimes, but it is a new season. I want to choke him when he doesn't show respect during the National Anthem.

Wood: It's great to have him home.

Postseason: Possible. It's early. And getting the right chemistry and getting hot at the right time mean everything in a sport with playoffs. Just ask UConn.

also, I love MLB network... love NHL and NFL net too, but MLB is above and beyond imo...

man, I found my wife had her wallet stolen and that they already had 1,000 dollars worth of fraud RIGHT when we blew our lead...


straight up, when Wells scored to win the game, my wife had JUST gotten off the phone clearing our end and closing all our accounts without costing us a thing...

I feel for the Tribe too, and being a lifer Browns fan there is a connection of sorts... since you guys went up 3-1 on Boston you haven't found anything... Cleveland deserves SOMETHING... sucks those great teams from the mid 90's never did it.

My Braves are off to a slow start. Can't score runs at all. Might be time to move Heyward up in the order. Saw a stat today that he has now walked 11 times this year and has yet to score a run after he does so. Alex Gonzalez has gone 1-11 in at bats following Heyward walks. What's the point of having him lead the team in OBP if the guys behind him aren't hitting?
