The dude deserves his very own thread.

Did anybody else notice that Floyd was:

A. Faster
And
B. Much, much bigger

I love Floyd, and happen to agree with both A and B. my question is. Do you think Floyd (or Tate) will make it into the NFL and if they do, will they do well. I feel that Floyd definitely has the size, but does he have enough speed? I feel like Tate has greatttt speed, and exceptional hands, but does he have the size? Watching that game, I feel like Floyd is league bound!! 4 receptions 189 yards and 3 TDs. That is a dominate performance, although it was pooly ranked pass defense of Nevada.. ha.

I think Floyd was overlooked a little by the media because he was hurt for a couple of games last year. If he hadn't got hurt he would of had much better numbers than AJ Green or Julio Jones. This year if he stays healthy (knock on wood) he should get his due recognition.

Now that I've seen Floyd, Julio Jones, and Green play, Floyd is now bigger and better than both of them.

I saw a good wr have a great game against a horrible defensive backfield. I damn sure didn't see the second coming to Tim Brown.

i disagree i think floyd might be the best wr to play at ND when its all said and done.

Floyd will be an nfl reciever, tate will also be a serious nfl guy, kind of like wes welker.

Thanks for the Wes Walker reference - I couldn't think of his name. Good comment. If the Bears can make Hester work at receiver - why not Tate?

I think Michigan is in for a rude awakening when Floyd goes up (literally) against them.

What will be fun is watching teams double or try to key on Floyd - leaving Tate, Rudolph, Shaq, Kamara, Parris, Goodman, or Allen out of the backfield.

What did you see last year when he broke nearly every freshman receiving record at Notre Dame???? Dont act like this was his first good game.

How bout some love for our whole recieveing core. Tate averaged over 20 yards a reception. Walker got his first catch. Goodman looked very quick on his return, almost broke one off. Shaq got some PT. Liked what i saw out of Parris. Don't remember seeing Kamara but that might be because he is still recovering.

Rudolph was a man among boys. Ragone played without a brace, hopefully he gets the ball against Michigan.

Tate narrowly missed getting those twenty yards a catch. 3 catches, 59 yards.

Walker looked good on his grab. Caught a rocket with his hands.

Goodman did have a great return.

I freaking hate when my posts disappear.... Anyways.

Floyd is a flat out freak and will be an NFL star. Tate will be a Welker type, but I see him fielding punts as PR specialist. Rudolph, what more can you say...

Mr. Allen, Mr. Riddick called, he wants your job.

Well since we're talking strictly WR and not including Kick Return stats, Floyd is way ahead of Tim Brown at this point in this point in his career.

Stats are from und.com

Enjoy Floyd for the next 2 years, because he is gone, unless his mama's influence can make him stay that last year to get his degree. He's scary good, and I've (well, WE'VE) been saying it here since last year. He's not just a 'good receiver' against a bad secondary, he's a great receiver against any secondary, as was witnessed many times last year. Luckily for him, he has a QB that can get him the rock (unlike Benn and Jones). He's a special, special talent.

And as for speed, who knew? Check out that hitch he caught...he has some giddy-up in his step. It completely reminded me of....and I HATE to say it b/c I can't stand the guy...Terrell Owens. T.O. was always ripped on for his lack of speed, but watch him get in the open field and suddenly he's going by people. Same thing with Floyd, except he's not certifiably insane...

I'm fairly certain Floyd is staying all four years. His mother wants him to get that degree.

Certifiably insane...friggen lol.

That doesn't mean he will stay and play out his eligibility of four years. I can not think of any player that left ND early who did not earn their degree.

Floyd is a beast and is clearly the best receiver on the team. That's saying something considering that Tate is a beast as well. They both have excellent hands and they both are great in traffic. Floyd is more of the prototypical receiver. I like the Wes Welker comparison with Tate. Tate is the kind of guy that will give NFL defenses fits in the middle of the field.
