I've seen quite a few people post mockingly about people complaining about close wins. Nobody complains if it's a close win over Stanford, Oklahoma, and other top level teams. But when we have to consistently squeak out victories against teams like Purdue that get annihilated by elite teams, that is indicative of a problem. Every team has bad days sometimes, and once in a while you'll have to gut out a win vs a crappy opponent. But I can't remember the last time we were favored to beat a bad opponent and beat the spread. Wake Forest last year is the only recent one that comes to mind. And Air Force I think. But the best is when that win is followed by that constant piece of priceless wisdom: "it's hard to win games" - unless you're an elite team winning against said opponent by 30 at the half.
