I don't at all. I grew up in the Catholic Church and actually read the Bible unlike most. I also studied both the new and old testament. Again go read the actual scriptures and preferably not king James version

I never stated what my current beliefs are only my background. Would you prefer a source from a Christian that also states a differing opinion of yours regarding Sodom? I used a source that short and concise but it's not an uncommon interpretation

I should point out that I'm a semi-lapse Catholic, I don't follow the church on everything, and I feel that if someone else wants to practice homosexuality that's fine for them. I'm just bringing the church's stance forward.

We have similar stances. I believe most organized religion has weaponized their teachings and beliefs from outside what the Scriptures were originally teaching. Ive always viewed it as rape of underage men and not purely homosexual acts. And that it was distorted to justify being anti gay. And it's a pretty common interpretation

I have to sleep and then I’ll fade away again. But to pretend the Bible isn’t clear on our design and purpose/role as male/female is just being intentionally obtuse and ignorant. Sure the Bible doesn’t exclusively call out homosexuality because it’s not word that was even invented yet, but it does give us a clear guide on our purpose and His design. I have my own gripes about religion and even how the West does Christianity/Church etc… but on the flip it’s 2025 and many people have weaponized Christianity to fit their lifestyle and own sins to justify themselves and their choices.

After a good nights sleep I feel punked arguing the Bible with someone not familiar who/what God/Christ is not familiar with what the trinity is and another guy getting his Bible interpretations from an atheist to excuse lifestyle choices. I feel gross coming back to this forum.
