All the companies I’ve owned I got special treatment. Man spent billions, at least allow the man to get free boosted posts. I feel like I spent billions on boosted Facebook ads so I know how it feels to have posts/ads flop.
Musk spent $44B to become a whistleblower of his own company. A company that was reportedly headed towards bankruptcy…which would’ve been fine by me.

Curious on the financial data you were looking at that would say they were going bankrupt.

The 2021 statements showed them to very liquid, normalizing their 2021 income statement would have had them in a positive position for income from ops, and cash flow statement showed a steady cash position the past three years. They also had $6B credit facility that was unused at YE 2021 that would have been available to finance any cash shortfalls. https://s22.q4cdn.com/826641620/files/doc_financials/2021/ar/FiscalYR2021_Twitter_Annual_-Report.pdf

I thought the issue was that they had just about squeezed out every penny they could from the current model?

In terms of business growth? Sure, I just don't know how a tech company that is running at 5.9 on it's quick ratio is heading towards bankruptcy. As well an unused credit facility of $6B. They didn't have any huge debt obligations either that would have been unable to meet. So, I'm curious how someone can make the assessment that they were heading towards bankruptcy.

Lemon was so intent on trashing Haley that the little voice in the back of his brain shouting, "Shut up! Don, SHUT UP!" got completely ignored. He just kept talking. With the other issues he's recently had, this may get ugly for him. Couldn't happen to a more deserving assho... guy.

This is hilarious. It's the pot calling the kettle black and the kettle fires back. Geraldo works for Fox news. Dash is one of the many paid social influencers to spread liberal propaganda. So basically...it's fake news fighting with fake news.

Speaking of hive minds, the network was hard at work carrying that water today. Gotta get paid! Just some of them.

Is Graham still hard core MAGA if he supports Biden's trip?

I wouldn't call it heroic, but it's good for Joe to go and show support.

So that’s a paid job now? I’m sure the Reps have them to so calm down all you “Whataboutism” kids. I wonder how many folks think they’re grass roots citizens who just really care about democracy? How much better would the world be w/o these trolls on social media? Or even better, just eliminate social media altogether? When they fill out a form that asks for “Occupation” do they fill in “Social Media Influencer”? Add in all the paid influencers from the Republican Party & you have a picture of what’s wrong w/ discourse in America today. Everyone insisted on being “right” and getting their opponent to admit being wrong or walking back an assertion. Petty.

Social media disappearing won't happen. The establishment need it to keep people divided. It would do the world a lot of good if it went away.

I can’t believe most Americans can’t see it but they insist on staying in their echo chamber thinking their side is 100% correct & the other side is either racist/fascist or commie/Karen. The name calling has gotten to a point now where no one takes the words seriously anymore.

Washington Post Dana Milbank is arguing that the tape from Jan 6 shouldn't be released as it would pose a national security risk. lol
Aren't we for transparency?

Democracy dies in darkness. Release ALL footage. Why should the Jan 6 committee of Trump haters be the only ones to decide what we see?

The point is that it will reveal security protocols and building layout, which would make it easier should there be another attempt to attack Congress. Not an unreasonable take.

"Thompson said any release of video footage that comes without coordinating with U.S. Capitol Police could compromise the security of the U.S. Capitol by exposing the placement of cameras throughout the complex.

'(The) video identified those positions when members were escorted out of the Capitol during the height of the insurrection,' Thompson said referring to security footage he reviewed as chair of the select committee investigating the Jan. 6th attack.

It's not clear what footage Carlson's team has access to and if it matches what Thompson saw, which Thompson said showed escape routes used on that day. The House panel investigating the attack chose not to air portions of the security video they received after U.S. Capitol Police told them it could pose a security risk, Thompson said. "

I get the concerns, but I'm not sure that's as great a threat as Thompson says.
1. The real threats (China, Russia) probably already know the layout of the Capitol building and the WH.
2. Call it whatever you want, but the participants on Jan 6 were disorganized, had no plan and are highly unlikely to know or figure out routes and camera placement without seeing them first hand.
3. I have to believe security protocols have already been reviewed and adjusted accordingly. If they haven't, someone needs to be fired.

From WaPo
McCarthy downplayed those concerns Tuesday, saying Carlson specifically said he did not want to include footage documenting exit routes of the U.S. Capitol. McCarthy added that he has been in consultation with U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) on the release of the footage

If they haven't changed things, then they must be fired. It sounds like an excuse. If they had footage unflattering to a GOP official, it wouldn't have been an issue by now.

Does this video compromise security or did meet the criteria of the committee? Tell me again that this isn’t partisan…
