Looks like McNeil is visiting Florida this weekend. If he decommits it couldn't come at a worse time, with only two weeks till signing day.

Florida already has 3 CB's committed, so hopefuly McNeil is only going for the visit. McNeil was the first corner ND offered, so hopefully he knows how valued he is by this coaching staff.

I'll summarize: Don't worry.

McNeil wants a degree. Weis knew about him a year ago. He gets MVP of the Army AA Game and Urban starts sniffing around? McNeil doesn't play WR, so Urban isn't serious about him.

Urban Meyer blows crocodiles. And thank you to Jeremy Foley for hiring him. Brady Quinn should thank him too. His signing bonus in 15 months will be pretty nice.

if this were Decemember I'd be worried, but I doubt McNeil is so cold that he'd decommit 2 weeks before signing day leaving ND with no time to find a replacement.

ND saw this kids talent before alot of other schools did. Florida had to see his great performance in the AA army game to realize he was worth an offer.

Whether he decommits or not remains to be seen but I don't like the "smell" of this visit.

I have posted before that I don't like ND to invite anyone who has committed to another school. There are those who dissagreed with that and they are entitled to their opinion.

However, "what's good for the goose is good for the gander". If it's OK for ND to do it I can't argue that it's not OK for Florida.

I have the same degree of disrespect for Urban as everyone else but he is doing nothing that is not within the confines of recruiting. Members have posted that ND should perhaps contact some DT that have committed to other schools now that McCoy is out. That is certainly permissable.

I believe McNeil will remain Irish but if not we have him to blame and not Fla.

ND has a long history of losing recruits in the final hours. It also seems that the losses are to warm weather schools. Could it be that the kids say NFW to South Bend in the middle of winter?

It will be interesting to see if this changes under C-Dub. He has put such a lot of energy in staying linked to his kids, it would be surprising if any chose other schools. If so, it really could be a Feb 1 weather issue.

I hope you're right but while this may be a vacation for McNeil it is a RECRUITING trip for Urban. He'll pull out all the stops on this one.

My brother went to the AA game. I called him and asked if he heard the news about RM taking a trip to FLA. He said that it is just probably for the free trip. He then said RM was hanging out with DJ when he was on the sideline the entire game. I am not worried
