I definitely don't think it's a lock that he starts, obviously. We have pretty good depth right now, so nothing is guaranteed for returning players, let alone freshmen. However, if he comes out for the first snap of the game, I wouldn't be surprised. I wouldn't be as surprised as I have been when other freshman have started.
Part of me thinks he won't start mainly because the pressure on him must be incredible and it might be good to let him get out of the tunnel and have the nerves calm down a bit before you turn him loose.
But, what do I know? Coach Weis doesn't call me for advice and, no matter how loud I yell at the TV, they just don't seem to hear me on the sidelines.
