Sorry. Shouldn’t have triggered them again. Anyway Lou Holtz has a pod cast about values.

I'm not particularly interested

I dunno, you seem kinda interested to me

His first guest is Bruce Pearl.

Future guests include Urban Meyer and Tommy Tuberville.

No. Fucking. Thank you.

Followed by Urban Fucking Meyer and Tommy Tuberville.

Threaten me with a good time whenever you want.

Yes, let's restore culture in America by having a podcast. Our first guest, ever, is Bruce Pearl.

My skin crawled away when I saw the guest list.

Tim Brown and a bunch of dickwads. Surely Tony Dungy and Tim Tebow can carve out some time for Lou?

"Our next guest is always asking himself WIN: What's Important Now. Please welcome, Richie Incognitio."

Lou is 87. A good majority of the people he knows are of his same mindset, former players or dead.

I hope he gets better guests than what he's starting out with. For his own sake. Have Jimmy Johnson on there. That would be awesome.

When I think of college sports and accountability, Bruce Pearl is the first guy that comes to mind. Right before Steve Alford.

I think Pete Carroll is only one out of four here, and he's supposedly a Liberal.

A Jimmy Johnson interview would absolutely be awesome.
It would be interesting if he invited athletes/coaches that disagreed with his world view and we’re somewhat well informed/well spoken.

Unfortunately, given how flat out dumb most athletes and football players in particular are, that’s a pretty tall order.

Also, based on the list of initial guests it seems like this is going to be a total, confirmation bias jerk fest.

When Lou was at ND, he was surrounded by like minded individuals in close positions. Father Riehle was a die hard republican. Like get in your face and argue with you type of guy. Father Joyce grew up in South Carolina in the 30s and 40s. His family owned a plantation and was rich as hell. Lou had great relationships with them and many others.

The cool thing is that there were others a bit more liberal in the AD department at that time, too. Lesser coaches and others in the department. They all got along great because they were great communicators and the ribbing didn't affect them. There were many arguments over lunch at the University Club that ended with kissing asses the next day.

He is old. They all get old. Let them be.

I agree with most of your points. But being about "old-fashioned values and accountability" and having one of your first guests be Urban Meyer is not a great way to get that point across!
But to Lou, Meyer is fantastic. That tells you what you need to know.

I'll always appreciate Lou for 1988...if Lou supports the Republican side that's his choice (like all of us), but to believe the Trump cult MAGA bullshit...stick to sports Lou!
What Make America Great Policies, specifically, would you call bullshit?

Was it the antiwar, border control, medical freedoms, economic prosperity, or other?

I already know the answer, it's a non answer. "He is a tax fraud!' or something baseless that has nothing to do with running a country.

Don't forget that he's also a racist dictator...

So racist he had the most diverse cabinent in history at the time, and the likely VP pick is a man of color (Vivek or Tim Scott, unless he goes female).

Mind you, over the past 3 years inner cities (black) are getting wrecked like never before.

Hating "MAGA" is an entry level IQ test.

He should have Biden on as a guest. Two octogenarians w/ speech impediments that each trigger their respective supporters.
Lou's too old to run a podcast, but intellectually he'd run circles around Biden. Biden is dying before our eyes, he's like the sea urchin guy on the Black Pearl, slowly morphing into his tomb in on live tv.

I italicized racist dictator as me being sarcastic... it's one of the many fake narratives that the mainstream news media runs with, that unfortunately, a lot of people believe. The media continues to be the number one issue in this country... sports media (incorporating race and politics) included. If they actually reported the news and not propaganda, everything would work out for the better.

Sorry, it may have appeared I took your post literally but I knew it was sarcasm, I was just piggybacking off of it. You and I are aligned.

These liberal clowns get triggered by the dumbest things
Just about as dumb as the things that trigger conservatives. It’s so funny seeing both clans of propaganda get all red in the face, pissed off and then complain that each side is so triggered. It’s the most idiotic thing ever and I see both brainwashed groups do it on the daily.

It's ok to be triggered by abhorrent behavior. In fact it's required to better society.

*I'm not claiming something in this threads has been abhorrent*.

It’s a relatively small point in the grand scheme but when Trump took office every member of his Cabinet except for Ben Carson and Elaine Chao was a white person, mostly men. UN Secretary Nikki Haley not technically in the Cabinet but count her if you want.

Obama, Bush and probably Clinton, at least, all had more diverse cabinets than Trump did.

I think the cabinent changed over his 4 years. And maybe it was "one of the most diverse". It's all besides the point.

There's literally nothing racist about him or any move he's ever made. His club way back in the day was the first to fight segregation. He's been anti racist at every point of his life, it's just brain-worm talking points by people who can't think.

And its abhorrent to accuse someone of racism without any evidence. Being racist is a big deal and calling someone it should mean something

You left out that they all had ties to corporate money and the deep state so he really was no different than those others but he didn’t give lip service to sexism and racism without doing anything about it like the other 3. I mean I guess it’s better to bomb multiple countries for decades as long as you have people of color and vaginas, or fake vaginas, in your cabinet, administration.

What you say in front of others matters, ESPECIALLY when you are in a position of tremendous power. It can matter as much as what you do, because your words can incite actions. If you say inflammatory things about human beings, and get called to the carpet for it, it doesn’t matter if mainstream media is circulating it or your friend down the street, you’re being called out for a reason. It’s wrong. It isn’t about being woke. It’s stop saying shit that’s misrepresenting the values of entire cultures. If you have the convenience of believing he hasn’t said and done things to alienate other ethnicities, then I applaud you for your convenience.
Let's make this simple. What did he say that's racist?

(I'll be offline rest of day but will check tonight/tomorrow).

I don’t think it changed much in that regard. When he left office, Carson and Chao were still around. Haley had moved on IIRC. Wasn’t his surgeon general a Black guy?

I agree it’s not the point, and we can argue about Trumps real or perceived racism all weekend. I don’t particularly care to. Was simply pointing out a demonstrably false statement you made to make history appear different than it was. Happens a lot when people talk about Trump.

Easy. Let’s start with the comment about “immigrants poisoning the blood of our country.”
I could post 50 of these a day, each new. There was another one yesterday, where the illegal (Ervin Lopez) was arrested raping a 6 year old girl.

Laken Riley, the nursing student on a iog, had her skull bashed in to the point it was unrecognizable.

We are literally importing the 3rd world and as such will get 3rd world behavior.

I can't see the lie in what he said.

Next?

If this is your first point of assessment regarding the impact of immigrants, then I understand why you see things the way you do. Thanks.
My first point would be the estimated half trillion dollars forecasted to support them each year (it'll likely be more).

But I'm also not big on importing (primarily men, did you know that?) who rape women/children/disabled and that seemed most on point to your attempt to call Trump racist.

I have a lot more for you on the topic, but again, was most related to your attempt.
