I thought Aldridge looked pretty good in the third quarter. He looks quicker than Hughes but stronger than Allen.

RJ Blanton has been really impressive. His interception showed he's not afraid of the big stage. He's also shown excellent run support and had one terrific stop on the outside on Stafon Johnson. (He also had a play in the Navy game where he blew up a lead block and made the TFL) He didn't surrender any big plays, with the exception being the underthrown fade to Damian Williams on 3rd-11 in the first quarter, but Blanton was with him stride for stride and the timing just happened to be perfect.

Ian Williams made a tackle on the sideline about 12 or so yards upfield. That was cool to see.

I anticipate Clausen having more weapons next year. Hopefully Walker and Goodman will see the field and give teams more to think about than Tate and Floyd. Plus, don't forget the possible impacts of Shaq Evans and Cierre Wood. Shaq looks like he'll be an excellent route runner, and Wood looks like Joe McKnight, in that you want to get him his touches however you can. He could be awesome coming out of the backfield.

There's probably some negatives one could drag into the things I just mentioned, but I'm trying to add a different flavor to the board here since everyone is calling for Charlie's head.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME! There was absolutely nothing positive about any of that game! Get real man, nice to be postive, but this is rediculous.

They find out where they stand among football schools. Priests might learn to pull heads out of selves.

Ban me.

The only positive is that a game like this might hasten the demise of CW. No excuses for the team being this non-competitive. I just hope the AD has a plan in place before CW gets the boot

I love the positive...I like what you saw and pointed out ...its some of what is missing from the program...character/heart...whatever you want to call it.

not sure Clausen isn't "broken"...So I'd leave him out of any discussion of positive for now. The things I see / have seen over the last few games indicate Jimmy can't slow it down...he locks in, and seems unsettled, he can't adjust. Rather thats Charlie, or a trait, its being burned in pretty deep...habitual at this point...not sure charlie or his successor can fix it. This stuff showed through in the first half...and yea, he showed some good signs late...but I can slow the game down when its already decided and against #2s.

Positive... ND's got a heck of a 2 down defence, just not the right 2 downs.

I can stop watching Football for another month and forget about what happened this season.

I can begin to set the record back to 0-0 in my head and rebuild hope for the next year.
