a 5 day family vacation and unplugged not withstanding, yes 7 days is a while....

FWIW and whoever gives a ****, while working out in the field today, I almost stepped on a 6-ft gator hiding in the grass along the marsh. Damn those things.....

I can't believe they just buried him. Think how many people that thing could have fed and clothed!

Ya damn right! I did not physically move him but I had to chase him off. He was sitting right where I needed to be. Mother f'er hissed at me and bit the stick I had. Then jammed into the water. I did not see a nest, but it was lurking right near us for a while.

Down "heah", "out in the field" means "out of the office or fieldwork." This particular place happended to be an undeveloped marsh/woods property along one of our many rural waterways.
