I think he'll leave...but with or without Leinart, they still have "The President" and speed at every position. So regardless of who's under center, it will still be hard to beat them next season.

I doubt he'll be back. I actually think he may be able to graduate this year anyway, and there's no way his draft status can get any higher. It doesn't matter though, USC's already got a commitment from the #1 QB prospect in the country this year. Just means maybe next year's a bit of an off-year, but then they're right back in '06, unfortunately.

Good for him. Finish what he started, win a title, get a degree. I wish all players committed to doing that, rather than drool over the NFL.

do you want to play against him again next year...i don't, go to the NFL, make money, get as far away from south bend as possible

Yes and no. I want to beat USC, but I also want to beat them while they're good. That game is the greatest rivalry in sports for a reason.

All these Johnny-come-latelies from Florida need to retrun to the obscurity they deserve. But I also hate ghetto schools that treat their atheletes like plantation workers, simply exploiting them for championships (i.e., Oklahoma).

first three thing i want weis to do...beat BC, USC, and win the bowl game. End the losing streaks.

First thing I want is BC dropped from the damn schedule. That game is worthless. Then I want a victory in a #1/#2 matchup with USC as the last game of a perfect season, and a win over some school from Texas in the Cotton Bowl.

If Norm Chow ever leaves, they're toast. The Assistant Head Coach just took a job. Name and school escape me. Not taking anything away from Carroll, but he might just be the next Bobby Bowden in that his assistants are his strength. Richt and Amato left FSU and things haven't been the same since. I think this is why these programs run in cycles so often. Eventually, the staffs at OU and USC will start getting head coaching jobs and things will drop off some.

GREAT!!! another team who throw the ball anywhere they want whenever they want, can't wait. i really believe A&M is going to be alot better..along with some other traditional powerhouse programs..i.e. Alabama, Nebraska, THE university of Notre Dame. These programs with good coaches, and good recruiting classes will soon catch up with the SC's and the Oklahoma's

I think it is great for college football, it will take a lot of attention away from these flash in pan programs

True, but schools like that always recruit well. That's why even though FSU has been "Stru-gu-lling", they're always a Top 25 team. That's where we need to improve. TyWillie always seemed to get 4 or 5 studs, but the rest of the recruiting class was average at best.

Hehe, I don't think Willingham got 4-5 studs in his entire 3 years....lol (Quinn, Walker, and then...um....?) Anyway though, I do agree w/ the earlier posts, USC would be a very different school w/o Norm Chow. Only thing is, he's 58 and never been a head coach, so it could be a little late in the game now for him to leave to try his hand at head coaching. That's why I wonder if he'll ever leave USC.

agreed for the most part...but Chow is still the most creative, and all around best OC in the game, he is on the cutting edge of CF..i think Stanford was stupid not to hire him

Lol, maybe this is wrong of me, but i kinda wondered what would have happened if in the midst of all the b.s. about ND firing a black head coach they had gone out and hired an Asian head coach like Chow. I wonder what ESPN would have had to say about that....lol....I mean you never head about the fact that there aren't any asian head coaches in college football (at least, none I'm aware of).

lol...valid point, but I do think Ty got some great kids. Obviously Walker & Quinn. But I'm also big on guys like Stovall, Fasano, and Anastasio (gotta rep for my VA cats...he's all that's left now that Campbell's gone).

I mean, obviously race is a horrible reason to hire or fire any head coach (or any other employee for that matter) & I'm not saying they should have just gone out and got a minority coach for no other reason than he's a minority. Its just fun to speculate though.
