You serious Clark?

Things like this have been overlooked for FAR too long. SO glad this school decided to self regulate and the NCAA found an appropriate punishment. Washing your car with school water is a disgrace to all athletes. She got what she deserved!

I bet the school wishes they wash their hands of all of this but that might be an NCAA violation.

Actually, I think I am ok with this............

The NCAA ruled a secondary violation had occurred because the water and hose were not available to regular students

1. It was a secondary violation.

2. This was not a training table or athletic facility that an athlete would need as a part of their normal training for their sport, so why should the athlete have special access to it?

At the same time though, she wasn't getting any kind of real advantage over other students. She didn't gain anything academically, financially, or athletically. She also did so without malicious intent. I commend the school for the report, but the fact they needed to in the first place is beyond me. Much like the bagel incident the article and ThePiombino mentioned.

Heard Mark Schlareth tell this story on ESPN radio last night and laughed my butt off all alone in my car

She did get an advantage though. She shined up her whip to bring all the boys to the yard...
