Late Game Offensive Stall

our offense has really slowed starting in the middle of the 3rd quarter the past to weeks. looks like Kelly is trying too hard not to blow it.

Same thing happened last year against Utah, Army, and Miami. I don't care as long as the defense keeps stepping up like they have.

Only time I really blew a gasket on the play calling was after the 80 yard int, seems they were content to take the Fg from 1st down. I wanted to see them go straight for the throat at that point.

Yes really! I'd be willing to bet that BK isn't content with the way the offense played in the second half, so why should we as fans?

BK did call the plays a bit more tenatively, but its still about the execution. The only thing that he really does differnet IMO is the passing game. I think he's worried about Rees turning the ball over, but he's gotta just keep it going. He picked Rees, and now he's gotta work thru it. The kid does a really good job pre-snap, and is a very accurate passers, but you gotta live with some of the mistakes that he makes.

I don't have a problem @ all with the play calls on the last series. The FG was imperative. It made it a 3 score game, so they just needed to do anything mistake free.

I suspect that if any of us were the coach and had witnessed as many turnovers over the past two games, that most of us would have called a conservative game in the second half as well.

If he would've been more aggressive and we would've turned the ball over, 99% of the people would be all over Kelly.

I agree, but how many of you were bitching when Rees threw the long ball to Floyd that ended up getting picked (but there was PI, so it didn't count)? I loved the play call personally but some people were complaining in the game thread.
