Kuntz disenrolled!

Pat Kuntz is not enrolled at ND this semester. He says he hopes to be enrolled by summer inorder for football season. He sustained a broken bone in his back earlier in the season.

That could be spin by Kuntz, who knows? But some folks at ND have been saying for awhile it's grades. If it is just his back, why remove yourself at all? Doesn't make sense.

He will likely be back in time for the 2008 season. He was going to sit out Spring practices anyway.

I think they have to go hand in hand. He has been at ND for a while and made it through to this point. These are major injuries that require muscle relaxers and pain killers. Try doing a term paper after popping two Vicodons. It probably didn't improve his work.

From what I've heard It really doesn't have anything to do with his back. He tanked his German class and lost his schollie, but but CW pulled some strings and if he can get things worked out this summer he'll be good to go this fall.

Just a lttle FYI, the VC Memebers have know about this for a little while already.

Hate to state the obvouis but this makes getting Martin even bigger especially with Hunter gone!!

Even with an addition of Martin, we are going to need one of the upperclass back ups to step up. Not just to replace Kuntz if he comes back, but with this type of injury, there is some possibility of it hampering him. Let's hope that Paddy, Kallen Wade, Darrel Hand or some other member can step up. We may even see Emaka Nwanko back on DL to help bolster things. Keep your fingers crossed for Kuntz. I really believe he is the type of kid who really, really wants to return to ND.

I do believe that Nwanko never left the DL. It wsa just speculated that he would move back to OL this spring. But with Knutz and quite possible one or more of those veteran guys gone then I would imagine he'll stay on the DL for the time being.

Kuntz said he plans to return to Notre Dame, possibly as early as this summer, and hopes to play for the Irish this fall.

"No matter what I'm going to be back there. I'm going to have one more year to play and I'm going to graduate from Notre Dame," said Kuntz, who is majoring in sociology. "The time is the only thing that's not 100 percent."

Kuntz hopes to know in the next month whether he will be back in school in time to play next fall.
