I realize there's a lot of money in the nfl, but why does one assume every coach in college wants to automatically coach there. Being a winning coach at ND trumps any NFL job a thousand times over. Step off the ledge folks or jump right into the abyss if you so choose. Kelly isn't leaving.
I realize that big-time coaches are highly competitive people and the NFL is the biggest stage there is to compete on. But, yes.
Kelly has zero NFL experience ever in his entire life. What he does have is 25 years of developing raw 19 year olds into smart, tough 22 year olds. He's not a "scheme" guy. He doesn't appear to be a big fan of all the baggage that comes with an NFL locker room. I can't believe the money would be an issue. And he's already got one of the best jobs in all of football. Plus, nearly every coach in the NFL looks miserable all the time.
The only reason I can see him leaving is if they win Monday and he decides there's nowhere to go but down. But even "down" at Notre Dame is nothing compared to being the head coach of the Browns or the Chiefs or the Bills.
