His 355 victories at PSU in 41 seasons are just 32 wins short of the total Rockne, Leahy, Parshegian, and Holtz achieved together at ND in 46 seasons.

His 54 wins from 1997 to 2004 are two less than the 56 Davie and Willingham won at ND during the same period with one more game. Joe PA lost one more game than Davie and Willingham during that period.

I have respect for Joe Pa. Tradition makes college football great. There are not many coaches who have the support, ability, or desire to coach for so long.It will be a long time, if ever, before we see such long term loyality from a coach or a school. However, it is very clear that Joe pa is little more than a figure head on the team. He does not even wear a head set. It appears that the last few years his only job is to run around yelling at the refs like a lunatic.

Joe Pa has won 2 NC's. He has also gone undefeated and untied 4 other times, but did not win the title in those years.

I knew PSU had slipped but did not realize how much.
