Jimmy Clausen Kicked *ss last night. Now that's how to play QB. He looked just as good last night than anyone that I've seen this year. I guess that player from Hawaii that said Clausen was the best QB he seen on film wasn't to far off now was he.

Clausen will have a GOOD year next year. If ND plays like that all year they will be in a BCS game. This will give them momentum for next year.............

Yeah, 401 yards 5 TD's just awesome. Maybe CW should be in the Pressbox more often....

Whoa Junkhead, I like it buddy.......

I have been saying this game will be the catalyst. I'm wondering if Jimmy's 3rd year will be like Brady's, one can only hope.

At least all the Clausen and Weis haters can SHUT UP for just one day!

Maybe one day. I'll reserve judgment until the end of next season. The problems this year were mostly OLine related and some questionable Weis/Haywood play calling. I was never on the bench Clausen bandwagon. Next year will be different for him however since Crist will be pushing him for the job as well.

Anyone that thinks a redshirt freshman is going to be good enough to bench a Junior on a year a coach is fighting for his job is nuts, sorry! The only why Crist sees the field is in mop up duty or if JC get hurt period!!!!

Claussen was immense last night. It was well worth sitting up to 4:30am to watch the whole thing. I think I witnessed a team grow up last night. This could be the start of something great. It wasn't just hime it was Rudolph, Tate, Allen, Grey. Everyone was on song 100%. We just wanted it more. Hawaii strolled on thinking it was already theirs, we had a mission.

I'm happy for Clausen. If he can show the same poise as in this game, next year should be a memorable one for him.

I've never been a Clausen hater, but even Weis gets a pass until next fall.

hey junk, the screens worked all night! now cw has the confidence to call them more often next season. if they continue to be that effective i can live with them. the only real one that didn't work so well was the one deep in their own territory, the old pump fake left spin to the right screen. clausen actually messed that one up b/c he was supposed to chuck it into the stands. that's the true design of that play.

I am a big fan of Jimmy, I think he is a bit under appreciated because of all of his hype coming in. I think you give him time t throw, he is going to pick you apart. The one thing I wish I could change is his little head nods, and mannerisms after a big play. I wish him to be a bit more humble, I know he is a college kid and a fiery one at that, but that might help his douche like image with the everyday fan.
I say if he plays that well he can act anyway he wants. Great game Jimmy

I've had my criticisms of Jimmy...mostly related to some bad habbits he developed from getting sacked amd pressured alot ...my concerns were really articulated by Ware in his criticism of The HI QB...when he starts looking at the oncoming rush and not reading coverage...he's in trouble. Jimmy had a long stretch where thats what he was doing ...IMO.

He was a different kid last night. He didn't lock on as much...he wasn't nervous...he had some time to throw it..and at times, he made his own time. I couldn't have asked for more from him...way exceeded my expectations.

In contributing to Jimmy's performance, Hughes was a STUD. He put the pads to some Dbacks, and made them pay. AWESOME! Ole' #5 showed some down field vision, but for the fist time he consistently got to the LOS before having to make a move...He got to run some downhill, and it was pretty...and the KO return...just nice vision, and he finally got a block or two. The O-line looked more sure than they've been all year, which was the most critical part of this win...tip my hat to them.

I will always be more comfortale with sustained drives. This team had some of those, and then hit some home runs. Pretty damned potent.

I won't dismis the win as just HI...I think HI would have beaten syracuse, and worked some of the teams we lost to this year. They have some atheletes...and as the PA guys went over the pro prospects in the game...they were all HI boys. Its a good win. Anyone who goes over there to play will tell you...its a hard place to win.

Again the O-line did some things...now look at every other facet of the game when the o-line is competent...this team is some consistant O-line play away from BCS...lets hope we see that in '09.

For now CONGRATS seniors...damn glad you got this one...you've had some tough years, and I personnally wouldn't want it to end any other way for you...thanks for toughing it out.

Jimmy had an excellent game. His passing was crisp & accurate. Hawaii's Dbs were no match for the ND wideouts. It looked like to me that Jimmy's first option was usually available to him. It's when he gets a lot of pressure is when he struggles(like most QBs). I hope that this a springboard to a very good season in 2009. This team has tons of young talent....now lets hope CW brings it all together.

That is one thing that I like about Jimmy, we need players to show more emotions, we do have a few on defense that shows emotions after a good play why not the offense........

I used to love it when Lou called that wide reciever screen late in a game (ONCE a game maybe) . Especially if they had been blitzing us alot during the game. Let the defense come through, QB back pedals a little, have the WR cut in and BOOM! Straight up the seam with a convoy.

okay, i've served my day...can i talked crap about 'em again???

i'm kidding.

yeah clausen looked great and showed poise and actually went thru his progressions nicely. my only concern is that the team not get cocky becuz they beat a mediocre hawaii team.

i hope they continue to work their asses off for next season cuz that's what pays off. i have confidence that they will.

Post of the year. Seriously though Charlie Weis needs to keep this team working. Ending the bowl streak was nice, now how about getting to a new years day bowl or BCS game and winning? Thats the next step.

Clausen; as well as the whole team played great!! For the records Clausen broke the school bowl record for passing yards (in the 1st half), passing touchdowns, and completion percentage (84.6). Getting back Floyd was HUGE. I still was not impressed with our running game, but our defense came through big. This game was a huge confidence booster and hopefully it can carry into 09!!

what was most impressive to me - and i've seen him do this yet in his career - was the way he actually made something positive happen when he was flushed out of the pocket...he is not the most versitile athlete out there, and i closed my eyes everytime he had to move his feet...but damn he's got an accurate arm
